We don't have a pass rush or an o line.

When was the last time our pass rush was this bad? We have always seemed to have a somewhat effective D line. Even under Croom, until they were exhausted by halftime.

When was the last time our pass rush was this bad? We have always seemed to have a somewhat effective D line. Even under Croom, until they were exhausted by halftime.

2016. We were 106th nationally in sack rate. Don't have the sack-rate stat for before 2014. But among that small sample of seasons, 2016 and this year are outliers. In 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018, we were top 40 nationally in sack rate.

Hard to have a pass rush with nothing but freshmen DT. I'm not sure what is wrong with our OL. Bad coaching ? I know they are experienced and have depth. But those 2 things are 70% of our problem

We’ve played one good team in 6 games that doesn’t have a **** OL/DL themselves.

It’s a coaching and effort issue, plain and simple. Even our freshmen DT’s should have been able to get some stat padding in against USM, ULL, Kentucky, and KSU at a minimum.

That's a weak take. There are 91 FBS schools with a better pass rush and I'm sure some of them are playing young DTs. We have 2 experienced corners in Dantzler and Smitherman along with experience at both LBs and the star (Cole). That should give us enough time to get to the QB with experienced ends in Rivers and Spencer. People are giving Shoop a pass, I'm not.
