That call tells me he would have gone for it on 4th and 1. He never thought his QB would throw it straight to a DB. That cost them the game right there.

That's what was always maddening about Mullen in-game. He would get too cute with his play calling and it would bite him in the ***. You gotta run the ball on third and less than a yard there. That play call cost him the game. Yeah, the QB should have thrown it away, but you don't even put that decision in that QB's hands at that point.

That said, Florida's Mullen problems are uptown problems. We are losing games to Kansas State and Tennessee.

That's fine but Mullen cant afford to lose too many of these games at UF. He could lose occasional games like KSU and even USA at State and still stick around. If his *** ain't in the SEC championship by end of next year he will be in the road probably.

He's a good coach and I would of been happy if he'd of stayed, but what he delivered tonight is what he always does. He gets within sight of finish line and then falls short. I just wonder how long Florida fans will tolerate it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they lose at South Carolina and lose at Georgia. They will be 9-3 again and it will be another okay season. I say he will be there 5 or 6 seasons and they will ditch him for whoever the "hottest new coach" is.
