I say we offer Grantham the head coach position.... we need a tough SOB...
I’m always wary of defensive guys at state because I feel like we need someone that knows offense but obviously that hasn’t played out snd doesn’t always mean your offense will be on fire. RIght now we need a very well thought out process of fit, culture, program, offense, and tough well coached:

Would Mike Norvell even consider our dumpster fire? Dude runs a hard nose program.

But..... we would then get a REAL offensive coordinator on the staff.***

His team today got beat by Temple today, after barely escaping Louisiana-Monroe last week. He lost as a six point road favorite today, and we already have a coach who does that for us.

You say all that and yet still I think he’s an upgrade.

It's probably a "grass is greener" argument, and I can understand it. I'd almost take anyone over Moorhead the way I'm feeling right now. But when I take a more objective look at it, I don't think Norvell is particularly impressive.

That is true. The problem with hiring offensive guys that run their own offense is that if the offense sucks they have no one to blame but themselves.

Yall make a list and when you get your decision made we can give it to Baseball so he can deliver it to Cohen.

What about Willie Fritz at Tulane? I know he is 16-21 as Tulane’s coach but he 174-91 as a college coach and has Tulane rolling over people this season. Seems like there are a lot of solid G5 coaches right now

Out of g5 he is probably my favorite because he showed the ability to adapt his system. He used to be a huge triple option guy and wasn’t happy with offensive performance so he goes out and gets swill hall to expand the offense. They still do a lot of triple option but they pass a lot more. Very similar in scheme and philosophy to Mullen’s system. The players play hard and don’t give up watch the houston game for example. They seemed to be a pretty well disciplined group besides the occasional false start. Defense plays pretty good. They beat the teams they are supposed to. I would definitely say yes to this if he brought Hall with him.

I can't see him being worse than JM, but I think it'd be risky. We need someone that has P5 HC experience. Bo Pellini might be good. He's one tough SOB.
