I'll take the Music City bowl. I think MSU would have a better showing there than in Jacksonville or Charlotte.

Yup. Music City is where I want to go this year

Doubtful we get to Citrus, so I’d be more than fine in Nashville over Jax or Charlotte. May even prefer Memphis over Jax or Charlotte.

Id prefer anywhere to Jacksonville tbh. If we go there again there wipl be hardly any State fans. At least Nashville or Memphis we will have some fams show up

I would love the Texas Bowl. It would be new.

Plus, Texas is much easier trip by both air and car.

Up until the Texas Bowl was added, the only option was the Cotton Bowl. Vandy played in the Texas Bowl last year so I would think it is a possibility.

I'm wondering what the administration prefers, because...

there's a nightmare for the SEC-affiliated bowls that's not that unlikely.
Imagine a season where UM, UT, Vandy, South Carolina, and Arkansas all finish with 5 wins or fewer. Then Mizzou's bowl ban remains in place.
We're left with 8 bowl-eligible teams.

2 of Georgia, LSU, and Bama are in the CFP, the other is in the Sugar Bowl, and Auburn or Florida are in the Orange.
That puts the other in Orlando, and State, TAMU, and UK are the only SEC teams available for the the Gator, Texas, Belk, Liberty, Music City, and Outback bowls.
TAMU grabs the Outback, and we're left to name our preference of the others with Kentucky as their only other option.

there's no tie in...

but I could appreciate a Bahamas bowl trip. visiting any of the options listed is "blah".

I don't think there's much mutual interest between MSU and the Gator or Outback Bowls. This feels like a Music City or Texas Bowl kind of year, with an outside chance of the Belk Bowl.

We've been a virtual lock for a Florida bowl game for the most part in recent years, which isn't a bad thing minus the St. Pete Bowl a few years ago. We've played three in a row in Florida, and six of the nine bowl games in our current bowl streak have been in Florida. We are due for something else.

I agree. I think just from gut feeling that unless something crazy happens that we are going to either Texas or Music City. I guess we could get shipped to Belk if they are short on East teams.

Aside from the prestige of lager bowls, the Music City is a fun bowl. Also easier to get to for most of the fan base.

That looks about right.

Yeah. I know everybody will think we’ll we beat UK so we should have a better record, but when you look at their schedule, it is easy to see 8 wins for them and when you look at our schedule it is easy to see 5 losses.
