Too many stupid mistakes. Zero game sense. Zero preparation. I cannot see a game plan on either side of the ball, just trying to adjust after the kickoff.

I expected a down year but we should not be making those penalties, pass drops and bonehead plays three games in.

He can recruit but he has not shown he can coach them on Saturday.

He needs to go with Schrader and play the young guys in hopes of saving his job next season.

Agreed. The earlier he’s gone the better for our program. He might be the right guy in the right situation in the big 10 but not here. It’s too bad it didn’t work but he got paid for his services

I’m jumping off the JoMo wagon with you...

Had been giving him the benefit of the doubt up until now, but he is clearly in over his head. He has an inability to play to his playmakers strengths. We have an undisciplined team and that’s also on him.

Agree, #1 defense in the nation and you lose to Iowa, a bad Florida team, and Kentucky....something ain’t right

There just doesn’t seem to be an identity. To even be fair, It’s hard to buy into this and his style when he’s following the school’s best coach in the modern era. He just can’t do it apparently and it sucks that he can’t. And 6-6 or worse will not sell it based on the success of the previous 10 years under Mullen.

It is a shame because K. Hill is a great talent and Schrader looks like he will be a good one. But our OL play, mental lapses, ****** WR play, and special teams just take the air out of any mojo we get going.

We don't play smart or confident in ANY phase of our team outside of Hill, Schrader, and Mitchell's individual contributions.

This hire was set up for failure. Love or hate Mullen, his teams were disciplined and he got the most out of them when he wasn't looking for a job. But we tried to replace the most successful coach in our history with a coach with no experience in the SEC and no head coaching experience at D1 level. It was a cheap fix and is going to kill the program. Maybe next time Cohen will figure out it is better to spend a few million for a coaching staff than to lose 10's of millions when you lose your fans. From the looks of the stands he may have lost them already. The only tickets anyone will be able to sell this year are to visiting LSU and Bama fans.

A “bad” Florida team that finished #7 in the nation? I get the frustration, but don’t be a moron. And UK finished Top 15 as well and was on the road.

It’s past time to get off the bandwagon. I mean is it too much to ask that our coach give a 17?!?!?

He needs to go and he needs to go now. I’ve tried being patient with him, but he continues to put people like Stephen Guidry on the field that have no business playing SEC football. I said when we hired him if we wanted to be pass gimmicky just go hire Leach or Holgorsen. They at least act like they care and have a track record of success.

That's the word I was looking for, discipline. We have had nothing that even hinted at discipline since Joe took over.

He may be an OC guru and recruiter, but being a head coach in CFB today is a difficult job that takes someone with CEO leadership qualities and strong coaching staff. Quite honestly, I think we are getting what we are paying for compared to the rest of the college world.

Mullen left us in bad shape depth-wise and we had to find a coach quite suddenly in a 17ing crazy coaching search season. Everyone remember the Tenn fiasco? Look at where we are and we were considering the same guy.

The really sad thing is the next search will be even more difficult. At least coaches had seen that Mullen could win at MSU. All that goodwill is being tossed out the window.

Would you say Mullen left us in bad shape depth-wise? I feel like you could make a lot of criticisms against Mullen and the way he left, but considering the talent on the team last year and, absent tutorgate suspensions, this year, I think the depth was better than any incoming coach should expect.

The offensive guru couldn’t figure out last year how to get 20 carries per game to a senior 1,000 yard rusher and a soph RB who is even more dynamic.

That unfortunately appears to be just the first clue.
