Pretty impressive. The supposed NFL tight end is doing well for himself. Show Dak the money Jerry.

Not sure, but you don't often see QBs complete 78% of their passes.

It's a sliding scale on how it's figured. The higher your yards per attempt the more incompletions you can get away with and still have a perfect rating. When you throw for over 400 yards with a YPA of over 12.6 you can get away with several incompletions.

Only 4 times in 100 years. Perfect passer rating with 30+ attempts.

I'm with Troy on this. How does going 25 for 32 get a perfect rating?

I don’t know. How does a runner who swings and misses at strike 3 get to take first base if the catcher doesn’t come up with the ball? Don’t know that either. But, like the NFL passer rating and numerous other curious rules and other quirks throughout various sports, that rule has been around for decades. And you never hear announcers question its meaning when it happens in a game.

GoodGrief, you can’t be serious? Another swipe at Aikman? He wasn’t taking a shot at Prescott, but was questioning the rating system.
Chill out. No need to get snarky with Rocket over his comment.

Damn, I wish this board, knowing we leave an impression of what Mississippi State fans are like, would try a little harder to be courteous and respectful to other posters as the default, at least until we are truly provoked to act otherwise.

And yes, I know I can be one of the biggest ******** on this board at times, so am pointing the finger at myself as well. On that note, if anybody I have insulted on here, whether I feel you fired the first shot or not, wants a, "do-over", please let me know, because I do want to try to be a better person on here, including to those I don't much like.

I'll start by apologizing for all the snotty, vindictive, abusive things I've posted to anyone here. While it may feel good temporarily, in the end, I'm just being an *** about some things of no real importance. I think I'll feel better about myself if I try harder to not get wrapped up in the BS and just stop being nasty, whether I think someone deserves it or not.

Rant over. Blast away.

He must have said "throws behind him" in a condescending tone 5 times

Yeah, like the time he said great throw by Dak purposefully behind Cooper as to not lead him into the safety that was in front of him.

I love Dak. I like Troy as a commentator. I think he is one of the best in the game, but I wish they would quit giving him Cowboys games so this board would quit bitching about him when he mentions anything about Dak.

It really doesn't matter. OK so you can get a perfect rating without being absolutely perfect. The thing is all QBs are rated by the same system and have been for decades. Dak had an exceptional single game performance by this system and would have no matter what.

This debate kind of reminds me of a professor I had in college. He was a stickler about giving a perfect score on a test. If a student answered every question correctly he would go back and meticulously check spelling, punctuation, even penmanship and dock a point or two if he found anything amiss. Everything had to be absolute perfection before a 100 was given.

Troy Aikman didn't appear to be too pleased.

Since Dak is now in the Dallas record book for it and not him will prolly send him over the ledge. I really hope he doesn't have to call another Dallas game. For my own personal convenience. I mute the game when he and lil Buck are at the mic.

Funny you should ask. I acknowledged Christ as our Savior when I was a child, and have never thought he wasn't. But I have recently started going to a new church that has me feeling like Jesus is staging interventions for me...and not just in church, but things happening outside of church that just can't be a coincidence.

I still sin a ton, still make bad choices when I know they are wrong. But I'm doing them a lot less than I did before. I'm getting better and better at turning away, though I have a long way to go. I'd say the biggest difference is I no longer think of Jesus as an afterthought that needs to sit on the back-burner until I'm ready to feel contrite. More & more I think about how much He loves us all, including me, and how incredibly pure and never-ending it is. I think more deeply about how much He has given me...the sacrifice He made for me. And the more I think and pray on that, the more I find I really don't want to do the things I'm ashamed of doing.

It's not a, "I'll worry about what Jesus thinks later when it's more convenient". I'm far less likely to prioritize worldly things over what Jesus wants of me and for me. As I said, I fall and I fail way more often than not, but I've grown in the belief He is with me at all times, ready to embrace me...ready to forgive if I truly want it, and ready to strengthen me so I can win more and more of those, "battles" as my faith increases.

So I'd say I haven't "found" Him, but I have begun to consider Him more than ever, and accept I need Him and want to please Him more than I want to please my flesh. Long, long way to go, but I've really been trying to stay on the path despite the numerous "detours".

I think they should call it a "maximum passer rating" instead of a "perfect" rating.

Then I think they should come up with a more logical way to statistically compare QB performances.

My take is you have drops, throw aways, and other things that aren’t the qbs fault. That’s all subjective, sometimes it’s a good thing to just get rid of it. It’s impossible to go 32 for 32. If you wanted to go 32/32 then you would never throw a deep ball because the percentage of completing that is low. Sometimes with good coverage a perfect throw doesn’t matter. I would call it like a grading curve. if no one can reach 100% you lower the curve to where 78%-80% is an A+.

Why does God have mercy on us when we repeatedly disobey and ignore Him, fight against Him, profane His name? I don't know, but I praise Him for such love and mercy as is shown in your life. Thanks for that.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for responding.

For those of us who have children, young or grown, the love most of us feel for them seems limitless. Most of us would probably step in front of a bullet or endure any pain to protect them. Well, we are all God's children, and as strong as our love for our kids can be, our capacity to love pales in comparison to His.

When I've gotten really fed up with either of my daughters for whatever reason...sometimes getting really angry or hurt, I've sometimes chosen not to engage with them for a while, perhaps giving them the cold shoulder, or maybe laying a "guilt-trip" on them to punish them emotionally. But since I've been getting more into the word... really thinking about what it means & how it applies to my life, I've come to realize I should consider how much more I've done, and still do things that hurt Our Father, and yet He never once needs or wants to push me away.

He's all powerful...yet loves me as much as anything or anybody in creation. When I stop to consider that...really truly ponder it, it brings tears to the eyes of this old, "tough-guy" former rugby player who was brought up by an old-school dad to not show weakness or be a crybaby. There's just something about realizing the one God who can have or do anything prioritizes nothing above me. Same is true for you...for all of us. And He is this way 24/7 for eternity. If He can feel this way about me despite how much and how often I disobey His Commandments and the Bible's teachings, how can I not try to learn from this and appreciate it enough to want to emulate it as much as I can?

And since HE is always ready to forgive his children, what right have I to deny it of mine? And given how readily He does so, how can I not want to improve and by the Grace of God hope in so doing I'm in some small way able to spread His Love to others and positively change their lives?

I realize how weird this probably sounds coming from me...a guy who sometimes posts things here that aren't very Christian, and often with the intent to "get back" at someone for a real or perceived injustice. But that's what is in my heart more these days than any other time in my life. I still get caught up in that stuff more, so fail every day, but as I said earlier...I'm trying to do better, and want to do better and better. We're all so blessed and I am so grateful that He is there for me, not matter how many steps back I take. If we allow that to truly sink in, it can really be overwhelming emotionally.
