Appears it may spare the Florida coastline and turn North. What a change from earlier in the week. Hopefully this thing turns back altogether.

Bad news for the Fyre Festival

I have seen some pictures that have trickled through from Marsh Harbor on Abaco Island, it looks like complete devastation, like an EF-5 tornado went through. I can’t imagine dealing with 185 mph winds for hours on end.

It’s currently stalled over Grand Bahama Island. The good news is that it has weakened somewhat. Winds are now “only” 140 mph...

So does the stalling nature of the storm solidify the model predictions? This seems counter intuitive to me, but all the models I see now are in agreement it turns up the east coast staying off shore.

I was in Freeport back in May of this year, and there were areas there that were still wiped from the last major storm that came through there. Nassau looked pretty good. At least, the part I saw.

I cant imagine what Freeport will be like the next few years.
