I really wish Mississippi would jump on this farming/legalization train early. We did it with casinos and ultimately sports betting, and marijuana is going to be much more profitable.

Yep, some southern state will be the first to fight off the protests of the old guard and they will reap the benefits before the others follow suit.

Seems like a natural for one of the best AG schools in the country.

Actually the growing conditions are not great in mississippi for marijuana/hemp. They’ve already been doing research.

Industrial hemp prices are about to plummet because Kentucky and some other states are growing the **** out of it. After this fall they expect there to be a 6 year surplus of hemp. It won’t be worth the time to grow.

Really? I figured the heat and humidity would make it perfect.

Shows how much I know about growing pot.

Well they grow a bunch in Mexico. Then it has to be finished inside buildings. So I assume Mississippi would be just fine to grow it.

The bigger issue is probably just like any agriculture, it's better to do it where you have tons and tons of land. I doubt any of the big farmers in the Delta are really doing that bad, no matter what they grow. Just takes a lot of land to grow anything and make a profit.

It still would be very smart to legalize it and get on the inside track of the industrialization of it.

CBD is where the money is right now. It's going crazy here in Colorado.

Most high grade marijuana for consumption is grown indoors.

The CBD plants won’t do well here. The industrial hemp will do a little better but as said above, the market for that is going to suck.
