I hope this is just Moorhead not announcing the suspensions in advance. If he's not using this game as one of the 8 to suspend the starters, there's gonna be a lot of pissed off fans. And I'll be one of them.

What is the deal with the names in bold? Also, KT is not listed on the QBs. Yeah, I know he is in the transfer portal but I thought there was still some question whether he was staying with the team for now.

I'm surprised Deddrick Thomas is ahead of Zuper. Nice to see Tim Washington making a move too.

that is surprising, but i was also surprised on one of the podcast to learn that Thomas was one of the few receivers to not have a drop last season. got to find more ways to get him the ball. i imagine they will all rotate a lot.

I think it just means the depth chart is only 2-deep, except in cases where more players are essentially equal, and Mayden is the clear #3 even with Thompson transferring.

If that depth chart doesn't include the suspended players, then we're in great shape this season.

Of course its going to change on gameday. What were any of yall expecting? When is the last time, under any coach, that we actually knew who was suspended until maybe 30 min before kickoff Game 1? No coach in his right mind would announce that a week ahead of time. And before anyone brings up Fitz last year, that only came out early because of how high profile he was and because the opponent was so ****** that it didn’t even matter.

This is what I assume.. Moorhead has said over and over and over. He will announce anyone missing a game.. on game day. So why change the depth chart 5 days in advance.

So take the Depth chart as what it is.. who would play if nothing else was going on.

Maybe I've been asleep at the wheel, but what official NCAA document states that we have to suspend players. The Negotiated Settlement document did not mention suspensions. So what is the source besides C34?

Good question. Suspensions are not mentioned here: http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources...d-academic-misconduct-aid-11-student-athletes

But here, it says the University did it. Maybe suspensions were not mandated, but were voluntary by MSU to get the point across to the student-athletes that the school is serious about academic fraud: https://www.12up.com/posts/mississi...players-over-test-taking-scandal-01djzpvp3g86 If that's the case, good for the U.

Moorhead confirmed he was not with the team in his presser today.

Y'all do know the Depth chart is usually put together by the SID? I wouldn't look too much into a depth chart.

I agree. I looked too much into it and now I’m mad that the author doesn’t know how a pronunciation guide works.

If you look closely, there’s an OR between Lawless and Christmann’s names. As in, they haven’t named a starter for the kicking job yet. It looks like that will be a game day decision. I would expect it to be Christmann though. He has experience and has kicked pretty well for us the last two seasons.
