3rd and goal from the 9 and he calls the QB draw for one yard. Classic Dan right there.

Nah. They won’t be ranked at the end of the season.

Kidding. People who think Mullen “choked” in big games aren’t real smart.

Losing to a way more talented team isn’t a choke.

They're having fun with the "Fire Ron English" thread on their 247 board.

That's exactly right and in the 56th minute (with the game basically over) Mullen calls a totally inexplicable pass play that got intercepted. So the real lesson here is the OP was correct and if you're coaching/playing against Mullen in a big game....play all 60 mins because he is still very susceptible to the same outrageous late-game brain farts he had over and over when he was at State.

Do you really think he intended for his QB to throw the ball where he threw it?

Sure it was probably a bad decision by Franks, but the fact that Mullen called that play is even worse. Run the ball, run the clock, and make Miami burn timeouts. Worst case scenario you punt and pin them deep, and they sure as heck weren’t driving the length of the field with that o-line late in the game.

If he runs it and it gets stopped, he is too conservative and didn’t take risk in a big game.

Was stated over and over here in big games he got conservative and didn’t open up the play calling.

They won. Original poster lost. Game over.

Everybody in that stadium knew it was a boneheaded call by Mullen yet we can somehow come up with some nimrods on here to defend a coach that **** all over us . Unbelievable.

Those same nimrods walked their ex wives down the aisle as she got remarried.

And you still hold a grudge against your 8th grade GF for breaking up with you. Mullen was great for miss state. He left us in much better shape than he found us. He left us, but I don't hate em

There's a big difference in not hating him and pulling for him to succeed. I really don't give a crap if he succeeds or not at Florida... I'm worried about our guy.

Mullen was average at best. He was a 7 or 8 win coach most of his career, and that’s the definition of average. He wasn’t even all that likable while he coached us. It didn’t help that people treated him like a god while he was at MSU. The way he left was terrible, and he was a coward. The hell with Mullen, idk how any MSU fan can like this guy still.

I don’t know how any intelligent rational human can’t separate emotion from logic.

Mullen was a prick.
17 him for leaving.
He is still the best or second best coach in MSU HISTORY from a results standpoint.
He still won yesterday.

I don’t really care if he is successful at Florida or not. But I tend to think he will be. Not bc I like him, but bc I’m using my brain 🧠.

The emotions of fans who live vicariously through their favorite sports teams are like those of a middle school girl.
