Who gets their contract first?
Dak’s looking good in preseason, and Zeke is reportedly back in Dallas. Jerry loves drama queens, so I wouldn’t be shocked if Zeke gets a new deal first.

Only way Zeke gets one first is if he takes pennies on the dollar. He is the low man on the totem pole in terms of importance at present time. Not only due to the position that he plays, but also the terms of his current deal (still has 2 years left).

And last night was a perfect representation as to why Dak’s deal is more important. Dak led one drive for a TD in the 1st quarter, and the offense didn’t miss a beat with Pollard in the backfield.

Mike White took over at QB after that, and well...I’ll just say he’s not ready for the big leagues

Might be a Connor situation in Dallas. If Pollard is 85% of Zeke, just play him and let Zeke go. RBs are disposable in the NFL today. Just is what it is.

If you are implying that was because of Connor I think that is misplaced. They had plenty of problems last season that drug them down.

Conner was good. Do you really think they didn't miss bell? First of all, bell is better. 2nd, Conner only played in 13 games last year, and the steelers lost 2 of them he didn't play in. I was at one of them (saints), and the Steelers rushed for 65 total yards. It was a very close game, but the Steelers got stuffed on 2 late short yardage situations that cost them the game. Think bell could've helped? I do. Think Conner and bell would've been better than just Conner? I do

The Cowboys can go 3-0 (Giants, Redskins, Dolphins) without Zeke. If they look ****** against the Saints in Week 4 the Zeke deal will get done. If they beat the Saints in NO. Zeke may be 17ed.

You have just got to be trolling your *** off with every single post you make about the Cowboys off-season contract situations. Of 17ing course the Steelers would have been better with both Bell and Conner instead of just Conner. But not that much better, and certainly not $17-$18 million worth of better. You are totally missing the point that players cost money and resources are limited. The best bang for your buck is to not spend big on RB’s, and last year’s Steelers team was perhaps the most perfect example of this ever.

Also, Jaylen Samuels filled in quite nicely even when Conner was out, and the Saints had one of the top rushing defenses in the NFL last season. And the Steelers still scored 28 in that game even with the 65 rushing yards, and Samuels averaged a solid 4.4 YPC. You think LeVeon the great would have put up substantially better numbers than Conner last season? Feel free to draft him in the first round of your fantasy league and see if he throws up 2,000 scrimmage yards for the pitiful Jets.

Wow. The security guard in Vegas was extorting $500K from Zeke.

The guy filed criminal charges after Zeke's attorneys declined the extortion attempt.

Police docs show Kelly emailed Zeke’s attorneys just days after the altercation with AT LEAST 14 things he wanted from the running back to stay quiet on the incident ... including $500,000 cash.

The list of demands featured a public apology from Elliott, a press conference with Elliott and Kyle, $25,000 for the junior college football team Kyle played for, and signed jerseys from Zeke, Amari Cooper and Dak Prescott. The demands list also included -- among several other things -- tickets to Cowboys games (both home and road), Ohio State games and a meet and greet with Jerry Jones and his son.

There's more ... in the docs, Kyle admits Elliott not only apologized to him after shoving him during the May incident, he gave him a hug and took a picture with him.

Elliott added, "We gave each other a hug and he asked me to take a picture with him, which I was happy to do as there was never any intention to harm or hurt Kyle."

The other thing is, with Zeke, you almost have to count on him missing a few games due to a suspension issue (fair or not.)

I'm not sure what narrative you are trying to paint. I never said Conner was better, just as a franchise they should do a cost benefit analysis before signing a RB a a big contract. If you can get 85% of the productivity from a cheap player, then do it. Then take that extra money and fill needs.

I just think zeke is a hell of lot more important to the cowboys success than you guys. Zeke is a crap head though for demanding more money with 2 years left. Make no mistake though, the cowboys will be a hell of a lot better THIS year with zeke than without. Now weighing the future makes it much more tricky. As a saints' fan, nothing would make me happier than no zeke sept 29th

Word is that the two sides are a couple of million dollars apart a deal is imminent.
