UTK down 2 more linemen. They were already thin.

I sure hope we can get through camp with no major injuries.

Emmit Gooden, senior DL, tore his ACL yesterday - out for the year.

"Pruitt also said Wednesday that offensive lineman Nathan Niehaus has decided to leave the team. Niehaus made six starts at right guard and also played offensive tackle for Tennessee last season."

If I remember correctly, Emmit Gooden was committed to us up until VERY late in the process.

Was that out of HS or juco? I was thinking it was HS.

I never thought he was that good imo. Maybe I feel like some of these D1 guys should dominate juco more than they do. Guess it doesn’t work that way.

Gooden is a Brownsville TN kid. Decent player, just didn’t have the academic boxes checked. He committed to us early, then decomitted, then wanted to come back, then couldn’t qualify. A lot like some of those Last Chance U kids

Also, Tennessee is garbage.

Good enough is Jarvis Varnado’s brother..

Ironic that you say this considering he WAS a Last Chance U kid. Played at Independence CC, was featured on that show in Season 3.
