Am I the only one that still finds it almost too unreliable to use regularly?

I use the android version "ok google" and the Samsung version of "Bixby". Its useful for some things but you are right. Not 100% reliable. But setting a timer, or getting directions or sending a text while driving are mostly reliable.

Occasionally. It usually works OK with simple commands, like add eggs to grocery list, wake me up at 8:00, set timer for 10 min, directions to restaurant. But anything more complicated than that, it's just easier to do it myself. One really annoying thing is, apparently about half my contacts are in First Name, Last Name order and half are in Last Name, First Name order. And Siri can't figure out that when I say Call John Smith that Smith, John is the same person.

Pretty much never, unless I want to play Abbott and Costello or find out about the airspeed velocity of unladen swallows.

On previous iPhones, I vary rarely used her. Now with this new Xr and accompanying watch, I use a good bit. Seems to understand southern English better than before. Really handy with the watch.

I do use alexa. I have it read the news flash report, weather, and traffic each morning. Make shopping lists, set reminders for dates, tune guitars, play jeopardy, sports scores etc. The kids love the on demand music and bedtime stories.

I never use any of the voice command "assistants", it's the first thing I turn off when I get a new device

Never.

But I speak to my AppleTV remote daily trying to search for whatever annoying videos my small kids want to watch

I use it to set timers and alarms. Also, when I am doing yard work and my hands are dirty and need to look something up I’ll use it.

Pretty much never, unless I want to play Abbott and Costello or find out about the airspeed velocity of unladen swallows.

In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?

I think he’s confused with Lord Beasley’s search for the elusive Pussycat Swallowtail.

Use Ok Google, on my phone

anytime, I don't want to type something in. I hate typing on my phone.

Noise free enviroment, and proper enounciation, helps me out. (especially in bright sun light)

The last time I tried, we were watching Game of Thrones.

“Hey Siri, why do maesters wear chains?”

“Why do ministers wear jeans?”

That sums up my relationship with Siri.

I use it on my HomePod, but almost never on my phone. I find Alexa way more useful.

When I need to know the name of a song on the radio, she's pretty good at it.

Alexa controls (by my voice) all the lights in my living room and dinning room. Also, I am addicted to Song Quiz. I also subscribe to amazon music, so I play my music through it alot.

We use Google Home a fair amount. Mostly for playing music in the house or on the porch. But also for some other questions that it can answer, cutting two lights that are harder to get to on/off, setting timers, and making announcements through the house.
