I’d like for you to check and see if you were impacted by the equifax data breach. It’s easy to do. I’ve read different reports of what could happen but the most credible reports say we will get paid. Takes two seconds. See if your data was stolen and file a claim. 125 bucks will get you a nice handy at the local spa during football season. I haven’t met anyone from Mississippi who is not on the list yet. Minimum settlement is 125. If you have an imagination it can be up to 600.

Most credit cards have credit monitoring now, so I would imagine most people already have some sort of credit monitoring.

Both me and the wife were affected. Gonna spend my check on a case of Dales to help eradicate all these mole crickets. May even apply the dales wearing some costas.

I filed for the $125. Too lazy to add in a couple of hours of credit freezing to the claim.

Kinda related. I have had some Dark Web scares and bought Life Lock. Probably a waste of money but if my identity does get stolen I’m supposed to be protected from loss of money etc.

Yeah, you're wasting your money with LifeLock. Just freeze your credit with each of the major credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion & Experian) if you're that concerned about identity theft.

I have life lock because my office was broken in to and they went in all of our file cabinets. When they caught up with the guys that did it they found a sheet of paper with the name, birthday, ssn, and anything else you could want to know of every member of my family. One of they guys had a credit card in his wallet with my dads name on it. Lifelock has since stopped 2 people from opening credit lines in my name

It's a legitimate site. The catch is, the cash payout is capped at $300,000,000. If too many people opt for the cash, everyone's payment is reduced proportionately. There were 147,000,000 people affected. So if everyone opts for the cash, you'll get about $2. Still, at this point, it's essentially free money and you'll probably get $50 or more, so it's kind of a no-brainer to take the money.

This is why I added it. I had a hacker get a bunch of my personal info then tried to bribe me. I froze all accounts, as Patdog suggested and added Life Lock.

I told the Hacker to eat a dick so we will see if he/she cleans me out soon enough.

Wont be a problem until you confirm your address, mother's maiden name, first pets name, and street you grew up on.
