Not political to me. Just shows that there is a general lack of respect for anyone or anything in our world today.

All I’ll say is that it’s a scary state of affairs when law enforcement is afraid to enforce the law

The scary thing is if these type acts are allowed to happen without consequences

future acts against police will only get worse. The country has basically lost it's mind it seems.

I hate seeing police assaulted like this, especially in the first one. It's sad people were filming it, not helping the police, and even cheering. One person has been arrested and looks like 3 others are wanted.

I'm not sure which incident led to the arrests; in the one with the 2 officers walking away, one appears to be laughing? Their body language doesn't seem to suggest they are in distress, makes me wonder if someone helped them "cool off" or something?

All that said, the officers showed great restraint to not firing if they had a bunch of people throwing water on them; I know a lot of us would've been pissed. Hats off to police, they have a hard job and most of them do it well.

I don't see how his stays not political, but trying my best I would say that police officers, departments and leaders carry much of the blame for how they are perceived and treated due to a culture that protects the minority of bad officers who destroy the public perception and trust in the police. That does not justify what is happening in the video, but I also don't think a group of well educated, mostly white, middle-class and middle-aged men see the same police that some of the people in the video do everyday. The culture of policing in the United States has to change and that change is going to be hard.

When the public sees a police officer shoot and kill an unarmed man who is laying on his stomach in a hallway on camera doing nothing but trying to follow instructions and then that officer get rehired by the department after he is found guilty just so he can get a fat, publicly funded pension then the police aren't exactly sending a message that says they are serious about fixing their problems. All groups have bad apples but few groups work as hard to protect, promote and celebrate those people. Most groups try to get rid of them. As to how law enforcement in Mississippi would react, I think we all know what you were getting at which goes a long way toward explaining the problem. The fact that we expect officers to lash out violently in any situation where they aren't in complete control is a big part of the problem.

There is a lack of respect for law enforcement in the inner city all across the country.

It’s bad and getting worse.

Your brainwashing and naivety is astounding. Never read so much BS in one post ever.
