Saw the Velcro Pygmies in Tuscaloosa this weekend. I was looking at their website and came across their backstage requirements. Listed out below.

If you were a larger act and got what you asked for what would you require food and drink wise (bc the other goes without saying...)

1 Case of Coors Light
1 Six pack Coca Cola
1 Six pack of Mountain Dew
12 bottles of water
3 bags of ice
4 thin crust pepperoni pizzas

My house is within earshot of the Shuckers Crawfish Boil, and I was out doing yardwork last year when the Pygmies started their set. It was quite fun to hear them again. The singer and drummer have got to be in their 50's by now.

They still put on a good show. The lead singer had had his shirt off and looked like the old lady from Something About Mary. They have done some partying for sure in their day. I saw them in Starkville back in the early 2000’s. Good times!

Same, I saw them for the first time in Starkville in 1997 at Mulligan's (long, long gone) for my buddy's 21st birthday, and he's 43 now.

I love these obscure, time specific bands. Never heard of the Velcro Pygmies (but much respect for the name alone).

Who remembers the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies?

I heard a guy speak once who used to run a concert venue that regularly had major acts. During the Q&A session after his talk someone asked him who the hardest band to deal with was. He didn't even hesitate, "THE EAGLES." He said they all hated each other and that whatever you had backstage for them it had to be EXACTLY equal. They required separate dressing rooms and the square footage of each had to be the same. It all had to be equal right down to the number of candy mints in the bowl on the coffee tables. It was written into their contract. If one of them got even slightly more than another one it would start a major row.
