I had a great evening with my father. He grilled steaks, while I occupied/trained his new 1 month old German Shorthair Pointer, an insane ball of energy, all legs & speed.

When I showed up he was watching UT vs a Saban LSU. We watched The Free State of Jones. On a bathroom/refill drinks pause (for us & the pup) we realized on the kitchen tv that it was the 99 Egg Bowl. We had to pull ourselves away to finish the film.

That's a damn good movie. I could critique the overall history, but his knowledge of the state trumped mine. He grew up there; I was born in NOLA & reared in Augusta.

Our dessert was watching the Kick, Pick, & Kick.

Most exciting Egg Bowl ever in my opinion. Topped off the best football season in my fan lifetime- I don't remember 1980.

Most exciting end. It was miserable for 3.5 quarters.

Most exciting start to finish?

I think for State fans that want a close game, it’s 2013.

Sadly, few hav been close wins for us.

It was really a poorly played game. Teams combined for 10 turnovers. We had six. Pig Prather completely forgot how to catch punts. The last three minutes were awesome though.
