Recommend finding out what is in season first.
Carried my 2 daughters last year. Used Zeiks.
Daughter caught a nice Spanish mackerel. Deckhand let her take a pic and threw it back. “Out of season”. We caught a few other fish that were “out of season” too.

It’s red snapper season. You’ll catch a pile of b-liners too. Ling are still in the area now too, so you may get lucky and snag one. I may be wrong, but I’ve never heard of Spanish being out of season. You don’t want to eat them anyway.

I just booked for a trip next week for 4. Snapper are "in season", but in Alabama waters that is only for weekends. For that reason we booked on Friday instead of Thursday. In federal waters it is snapper season on weekdays as well, but the fishing charter doesn't reach federal waters.

Blue Water Charters out of Orange Beach is the one I used.

Daughter caught a big one? I’m bet the rod butt bruised her up good. They are called reef donkeys for a reason

The weekends only thing is for recreational fishing. A lot of charter boats will have a commercial license and thus have a different set of regulations (I.e., keeping snapper durning the week). Just check around for a boat and captain that have a commercial license.

Try Sea Dawg Charters, Capt. Eddie Permenter. From Starkville and is a good Bulldog. He is good for inshore or near shore. Hope you are not considering this weekend because we have potential for bad weather in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach

Captain John Sullens with Freebird Charters out of OB is great. I fished with him a couple of weeks ago, and we caught big snapper quickly. He has federal permits, so you can fish 7 days a week. We went out 11 to 15 miles.

We always use Capt. Don McPherson on Getaway Charters for our offshore trips. He has 3 boats and all are top notch. Also, he's located at Sportsman's Marina in Orange Beach. Not nearly as crowded as Zeke's.
