Do you get this upset about video review used in football or baseball? Just asking.

I assure you the referees have not been on our side this entire match...she just didn’t have a choice on that particular play.

So does replay in football, basketball, and baseball make them jokes too? You really didn’t think your dumbass post through.

Let me guess you believe it’s a communist sport that is supported by liberals. And any red blooded American shouldn’t support such a sport.

This thread should be bookmarked for football season and matched with the inevitable thread complaining about replay.

Since when was completely missing the ball and kicking an opponent not a foul?
It would be a borderline straight red card if it was outside the penalty box. Extremely high boot. She kicked her in the shoulder.

You can't tell me the women shouldn't make what the men's team makes either. They actually win and I saw a study the other day where the women actually generated more money from jersey sales and other memorabilia than the men's team has.

I wasn't even thinking about the prize money. I was talking about what the USA pays the players. The women make about $5k per match. The men make up in the teens. If you just doubled their pay to $10k the 6 matches then they pay for the total WC matches to $1.8 million. The women definitely made that back in spades for the country and they deserve $1.8. And that's still be less than the men. As for prize money the women deserve more than they're getting but I'm not gonna argue against the men there especially with the popularity in Europe and South America where maybe 75% of the population tunes in.

78 mph simply perfect speed. Never blocked never have to slow down and the little dick losers stay triggered by it months later still. State vs Tennessee basketball game was packed. You go?

I wouldn't go that far but I don't like the sport, I don't play the sport and I do not watch the sport. One thing I have noticed and not just on message boards, soccer fans get offered too easy and feel a dire need that they have to defend the sport. It' like having a inferior complex and I don't understand why.

They should make what is relative to the income stream

TV revenue, & buts in the seats.

That is real world.

You also didn’t start a thread about a sport you don’t like to complain about said sport.

I really can’t stand MLB but I don’t comment on threads about it or start threads about how boring a sport it is. I’m sure this is the same for most kids that grew up/growing up playing soccer. We had those BIKE shorts wearing baseball dads that coached little league that would constantly make you feel inferior for playing soccer. And hell, you better not dare miss a batting practice for a soccer tournament or game. Those coaches were the ones that that make fans/players quick to respond./rant

That's what I was saying about the USA pay, according to Alexi Lalas the women have generated more domestic revenue than the men over the last decade.

The only baseball I watch is Miss State. I don't watch pro sports it's gotten too political. I love football and will always love football. I watch all the college football I can and I hope the XFL makes it this time. My son only plays football. Too many dads relive their baseball through their kids. I coached my son city league football team for three years. His last year of city league my running back was really wore out and did not feel like practicing. This kid played baseball, soccer, church league basketball and city league football. I mean he played all at the same time. He said he did not want to let his parents down and not play a sport. I let him rest every football practice and he ran his *** off every the game. Some parents don't need to be parents. If it is them forcing these kids they should be punished. If it is the kid doing all these sports the parents need to step up and slow him down.

Take a look at the size of the revenue the two world cups generate. The women are grossly OVERPAID. In all honesty who cares though. Nobody really watches it outside the US.

Rapinoe scores again! She's an American hero, suck it Weinstein voters!
Not at all surprised you would post this. Rapinoe is an arrogant, self-serving jackass who should not have been allowed to wear the jersey of a country she does not respect enough to put hand over heart and sing the national anthem. While she may garner a little extra support for a time from leftists like you, I suspect she has set the USWNT back decades for the long hall, having alienated a huge percentage of the population by her crass, highly-politicized behavior.

I was all for the women getting paid more, in correlation to the revenue they bring in. Sadly, I suspect the revenue, after a brief spike, will go down, as these national teams have drawn on the patriotism of our nation...something she has harmed due to her putting personal politics ahead of team and what should have been proud representation of our country, despite flaws.

Screw her and the horse she rode in on. I have cared much more than most about women's sports for a very long time, and was one of the early fans of the USWNT. But I find myself not caring much at all about them or this championship. MLB did this to me back in the strike, and I never came back. I know I'm not alone. Same for NFL. Went from being a rabid 49ers fan to actually pulling against them and only watching pro ball to see Dak play for Dallas...a team I used to despise. Same for NBA.

While I believe whole-heartedly in everyone's right to free speech, etc, I don't support giving a spot on a national team to anyone who openly disrespects our country, flag, etc....regardless of political position. I'd feel the same if an athlete was disrespectful because Obama was president. Hold your opinion. Voice it, no problem. But don't disrespect our country or our flag and expect to get respect or support from everyone. That's not what free speech is about. Free speech is about not being persecuted by the government for expressing oneself. It's not about being able to say or do whatever the hell you want, free from any consequence, including being a member of a team, or free from being roundly criticized by those who do not share your political beliefs.

I truly believe she has set women's soccer back decades, both from a national support POV, and from the number of young girls who will be attracted to the sport, many of whom's parents have no doubt lost all interest now as well.
