Ha. I feel the same. It’s like when you get a taste of winning the whole thing in one sport, watching a mediocre team in another sport just doesn’t seem appetizing. Knowing we don’t have a chance at even getting to the playoffs...... ugh. Vomit. Everything sucks.

Prepare to be pleasantly surprised. This board has convinced me of that. We'll be fine.

I'm excited about football. Mainly because I think we will see more of what Moorhead is really about. Our defense will still be decent, and he's got a handpicked QB and added a WR, to go with a serviceable OL.

In my opinion, 2020 will be a rebuild of sorts, so 2019 will go a long way towards determining how the fanbase feels about him. 2021 and beyond is where the 2018 and 2019 classes will be upperclassmen and we should be rising again with Shrader at the helm. Problem is, if we suck in 2019 the fanbase will abandon ship and we may never get to see the real fruits of his labor.

Can’t wait for all of you to be pleasantly disappointed. Our FB team will be competitive and good this year

Do not make the mistake of believing for one minute that any of those who blanketed this and other message boards with their Eeyore crap will have the intestinal fortitude to answer for it.

They are the inverse version of the Vandy whistlers with a rhythmic post pattern:

*****, ***** ***** (please join my misery, please, please, please)

This team still has the talent to win a bunch of games and have been in the position in November over the last several years for a couple of different New Years Six Bowls. It didn’t go our way but we were right there. What’s not exciting about that? Your winning 8-9 games a year. Let Brother Joe build on that and who knows what could happen. Might make one of those bowls. Hell might even win one. Who knows but that’s why we watch it!

Yep. Why not give it a chance. What is there to lose that hasn’t already been lost in the past. Might as well Roll the dice and let ‘s go.

Also, people need to remember how they felt after the Ole Miss game last year when Joe went off and stood up to those 17ers- something along the lines as, “we are not gonna be anyone’s door mat”. And the part where he exposed their 17ing AD for popping off and causing problems is also noteworthy.. This of course after exposing their week a** defense during the game.

If making the playoffs in football is your only standard for enjoying college football, you might as well take the Fall off from it. So should 90% of the fans of others schools too.
