Congrats to Bruce Pearl for getting commit from

[bruiser.sixpack]

Mississippi’s Top prospect in Class of 2021-Daeshun Ruffin, Callaway Soph point guard who averaged 26 points per game last year.

Nice steal Bruce!***

Kid is unbelievable. Closest player to Chris Jackson I have seen.

[Lettucexxxx]

Chris Jackson? I have to see this.

Yep can’t keep him out of the lane and if you do he will nail a 3. He has been putting up 40-50pts a game on the summer circuit.

Really? Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was a once-in-a-generation player. Not doubting this Ruffins' skills, but I have to see it to believe it too.

[patdog]

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was a pretty decent PG, but nothing special. Chris Jackson in HS and college was a once in a generation player. But is has been about a generation ago, so who knows about this kid?

With Callaway and Jackson involved this means that the AAU shakedown artist Omhar Carter will also be involved and there are no others in basketball in MS shadier or slimier than him so Bruce Pearl will fit right into the scenario. Omhar was the "handler" for Malik Newman and Mario Kegler......

[grimedawg1]

Of course, because Carter did wonders for Kegler’s and Newman’s career.

Ruffin is good in MS high school ball and AAU ball where they play less defense than a NBA all star game. I’d like to see him locked up by someone as athletic as him but about 5-6 inches taller - say someone like a Nick Weatherspoon.

[ShrubDog]

What else can he do but play against the people he plays against. Apparently the experts see him as top 5 guard talent. Averaging 26pts a game as a sophomore in MS high school basketball is pretty good. Comparing him to kids 5 years older is a weak take.

Reggie Perry- he is a good college player according to most people, some say he will be dominant this year. NBA players at his position with 5 years on him would wreck him.

5'9 as a sophomore. He might not be done growing.

His recruitment is a long, long way from over.

His recruitment is a long, long way from over.

I would hope so. CJ only averaged 29ppg as a senior, but he was ridiculous.

[AlCoDog]

It ain’t over until Bruce Pearl rips his shirt off in the kid’s living room!
