But they are pretty good. Up 5-4 in the 5th. All kinds of dugout shenanigans, a Santa Claus head, a Yoda mask, a John Cena action figure, lots of dancing. They are definitely unconventional but it’s working so far. Their plate approach has impressed me, they REALLY work the count. Got Miami’s pitcher up to 100 pitches in the 5th even though he was doing well, and now they’ve come back and gotten ahead on their bullpen.

Makes me think we want Miami. Smalls counts can get up
there with a quickness

Does it matter? The guy has been arguably the best pitcher in college baseball this year, he’s more than capable of doing well against either.

CMU reminds me of our Bench Mobb team. They’re loose and seem to be having a great time.

I don’t really want any part of that mojo. Go Canes.

They are a good team, throw conference affiliation out the window. You don’t win 19 in a row by accident at any level of sports.

Good, disciplined hitting team and they’re throwing a guy tomorrow who has a 10-0 record and an ERA under 3. We will need a Small on his game and have to play a good all-around game to win.

Full respect to Central Michigan, but this is our best Day 2 matchup.

We are the better team with maybe the most dependable pitcher in college baseball on the mound. I'm in the maroon corner.

Totally agree. They are a lot better than I expected someone from the MAC to be though, so it will certainly be a challenge. But at this stage every game is. I’m like you, I’ll take our chances with Small on the hill.

To add to their lore.....when a pitcher come out he is hugged by each member of the the team.

I do not like the look and feel of this matchup, they have that Cinderella thing going, and they will be excited about that 1 run win. We are going to have to step up and take care of business. We need to shoot some ice water in our veins, and develop that workmanlike approach, that's what quells Cinderella runs. This is what Florida did in 2017. Our team reminds me a lot of that bunch, as far as talent. Settle down, go play like we should, and do not worry about momentum or excitement or anything. Stone cold.

The key is not for our guys to be fired up, it is to not get down over anything. I felt us start to get down yesterday but they snapped out of it quickly and took care of business. It was a good sign. Living and dying on emotion is not the percentage play.

Small and the Dawgs showup tonight and take care of business.

They should do something more normal, like putting bananas on their heads .... **
