I work in Fayetteville ar. I wear a MSU lanyard to cary my work ID and usually a MSU hat when outside. So, since it is such a nice day here, I decided to walk down to McDonald's to get a burger for lunch. After ordering and paying at the touch screen, I went to the counter to get my drink cup. The mcds team member notice my state gear and asked if I went there. I told her I did and she responded that she went to ole miss. I jokingly gave her my condolences. Maybe this is just "monday" and I've been behind a computer screen too long but I found this to be extremely funny. I've heard the lame joke of what does the grad from this school say to the grad from that school too many times and never thought it was funny. Well, it is much funnier in person.

I never drive to mcds, but when I walk, it is mcds or Taco Bell. Anything else requires dodging 5 lanes of terrible arkansas drivers. So I figure slumming it once in a while is worth the chance to be outside on a nice day.

Yes it is, with 2 Paul Newman Southwest dressings, which kinda defeats the point of eating a salad but that stuff is fine. I've eaten 4-5 a year for at least a decade

I agree about tha SW salad, it’s good, so long as it’s fresh. It’s not even on the menu in a lot of places but they have them. Four or five e times a year is a do as well.

Probably going to get lots of downvotes...but at least she's working! There is dignity in work and sometimes you just take what you can get. My guess is that she is either a manager or perhaps she didn't graduate but rather attended OM. I get the joke, but I'm passionate about folks working honest jobs.

Agreed. I can appreciate a good jab at Ole Miss as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to knock someone trying to earn an honest living.
You never know someone's circumstances that put them where they are.

Now if the OP had said "The person told me they were an OM Engineering graduate and no one else would hire them...", that would've been funny. Because it's true. *****
