Bianco really is a dumb *** isn't he?

I thought it was just a joke.

He should have taken the bunt off after strike one or at least two.

Better yet have someone who has been playing try to make that bunt.

The call I might like IF you have someone that has been bunting everyday in practice.

Not someone that has been riding the pine.

Well, IF you're going to bunt, which is the wrong call in the first place, you should do it with a good bunter whether that's the regular batter in the order or a pinch hitter. But the percentage play is to hit away in that situation (and really in almost every situation). But I'm glad he made the call he did.

If it'd've worked, Dick Cross would have called it BRILLIANT! - and so would most of the rest of us - begrudgingly.

But it didn't work - so definitely dumbassery. DEFINITELY.

That was the smartest play by one of the smartest coaches I've seen. Those pesky umpires have stolen 12 of the last 14 meetings between these 2 teams. I'm gonna start a "I Like Mike" movement to support him

So you think only the starters get to practice?

No, but the guy has not played in quite some time with a broken finger. How much practice has he had compared to the rest of available players in that spot?

He should have had someone else there if he was going to bunt since it was the 8th inning with no one out.

Even you should be smart enough to know that.

They give away more outs

I feel like every time I've seen them play they give up more outs on the bases than any other team. Last night, they gave up 3 and the bunt with 2 strikes. You can't give a pitcher like Small breaks with outs on the bases.

Through the years I've seen Bianco over coach like a stressed out little league coach. He just can't help it. Calling the runners off the bases to discuss the bunt. That was something to see.

I hope Coach B stays at old miss for at least....15 more years...being their winningest coach ever and all...
