it seems that instead of being down to one dragon after Euron Greyjoy took out Rhaegal, Dany might have a few more dragons at her disposal for her attack on King's Landing. Check out this:

Rodgers being in an episode does seem weird given that the show is essentially international and he's a fading star in a uniquely American sport. I don't know who Chris Stapleton is so I don't know if that's weird or not. Supposedly Mac from It's Always Sunny was in an episode, too. And I didn't understand why the redheaded singer guy was in an episode a season or two ago.

But with all these guys, I'm guessing it's just the producers throwing a bone to friends and/or people they like.

I don’t mind a celebrity cameo if it’s subtle. In Season 7 they had Noah Syndergaard in a brief shot throwing a spear, but he was in full armor so you didn’t know it was him unless someone outright told you. The Ed Sheeran (red headed singer) cameo was bad because it was distracting and took you out of the moment. It wasn’t just a random soldier that they just showed in passing, they had him singing around a campfire without a helmet for a scene. Didn’t like that one.
