Gotta be a good thing for their RPI, which is good for us when we play them.

How does LA tech having a higher rpi help us? I admittedly don't know the exact formula in baseball, but if we played lsu 3 times, and tech only once, shouldn't we want LSU to win?

If I understand correctly we need them to be top 50 which means they are quadrant 1 team, they are hovering around the 50 mark. So them beating LSU helps their RPI without seriously hurting LSU's.

Our nonconference SOS is the only negative on our resume. Currently at 194. It won’t go up much with only two midweek games left, but LT being in the Top 50 could help a little bit.

Honestly it doesn’t matter much though. We’re talking very small shifts in the metric at this point.

LSU has been an utter shitshow in the midweek. But of course they possumed up and got 2 of 3 in Starkville vs one of the best State teams in memory. 17ers.

Never meant losing to LaTech helps our RPI. But in the unlikely chance we don't win, it doesn't hurt as bad.
