Giving the Tigahs a 12-1 pumping since dropping the Friday game.

Apparently the younger Bianco did a little bat flip on a Friday homer that his dad didn't appreciate and had words with Saint Paul after the game about it.

Could be an awkward Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Really weird. I understand that your kids aren't obligated to play for you, but to go play for a serious rival seems off. I'm sure this isn't the first instance of it, but having a hard time naming one off the top of my head.

Always good to see LSU baseball get humbled. Not as much fun when Ole Miss benefits, but still good.

I think I read that Bianco wanted him to play somewhere else

Bianco told both his kids to go elsewhere. He did not want to coach his kids, which makes sense.

Bianco played at LSU too.

For four(?) years. He's been the head baseball coach (and by a light year most successful) at Ole Miss for nearly 20. Like I said, I'm sure there have been similar instances to this, but it's pretty rare.

(by rare I mean a coach's kid playing for an arch rival, not another random school)

Do any of Pat Harrison's kids have any pitching eligibility left? Ole Miss and LSU might need them to finish this one out.

I would tell my kid to go to my almamater over where I worked. Just thinking about if I played at State and ended up coaching at Auburn for a long time. I would tell my kid to go to State.

I'm not sure if he wanted to be coached by his dad either. Some kids do and others really don't.
