He’s in a slump for sure, but he’s batting .297 with 15 doubles, 6 home runs and 44 RBIs.

Gilbert has a better average, better slugging percentage, and a better OBP.

Don’t know if he can play first or not.

Average and slugging are by a very thin margin with 1/3 of the at bats. 68 compared to 188.

Hahahahahaha. That's not what I said at all.

Tanner is more talented than Gilbert by leaps and bounds. But, keeping Tanner in the three hole based on production is not a valid argument. It's not an argument to replace Gilbert with Tanner in the three hole. Tanner needs to be moved out of the three hole. It worked earlier in the year and it may work again. He is having horrible at bats.

Good Lord. Gilbert has 2 home runs in SEC play in 30 SEC at bats. So does Tanner in 99 SEC at bats.

Btw, Gilbert is in the 9 hole because he gets on base in front of Mangum. Same reason McNamee is in the four hole instead of Foscue and McNamee being switched. Our four best OBPs (with any significant sample size) at Mangum (.451), Westburg (.429) McNamee (.425) and Gilbert (.422). No one else is in the 400s. Gilbert strikes out too much, but he also walks a ton.

Also, to add, we are playing Ole Miss this weekend and their pitching staff. Expect Westburg, McNamee, and Allen all to come out of their slumps.

Based on youre logic Mcnamee is only 23 points higher the Gilbert and is in a bad slump so we should drop McNamee and move Gilbert into the 4 hole and play Cumbest in RF. Again you're lack of knowledge regarding baseball and probably most other categories is one of many reasons why no one considers you're thoughts viable.

Think it is time to quit beating the horse, it ain’t getting up anymore. I would say maybe consider that Tanner Allen was facing the best left handed pitching in the nation. Not saying cut him a break for all the stuff i am sure you hate about him, but in this case I think we can give him a break.

McNamee is recovering from injury and got two hits this weekend. You're acting

like it hurts the team to temporarily drop some of your better hitters. It doesn't. It can relieve some pressure and give you better pitches to hit. It can also positively challenge your hitters that move up, they may rise to the occasion.

For closure , TA was 5-5 with a walk, but it was against memphis so I guess he still should be dropped in the lineup ****

What’s the point? Switching them was a bad call.
I’m they both excelled where they were.
Tanner excelled more.
