Why did the NK have to kill bran? Just send the wights in. He must be a Sith...
Some of y’all picking apart that episode is hilarious. That was one of the best filmed battle scenes in the history of television or film. Outstanding episode. If you didn’t enjoy that, you are a truly insufferable human being.
Well yeah. I mean the dead people that don’t need food or water and don’t age could have literally sieged them as long as they wanted. Plus they affected the weather too so food was going to run out quickly. I really think the show runners missed an opportunity for an epic 2 episode, 3 hour siege that takes place over a couple of weeks. Watching people slowly starve to death and die of dysentery would have been way more satisfying than the manic battles, dragon dogfighting, twists, and the solidifying of the baddest ***** to ever walk in Westeros.********************The stupidity of their tactics kinda ruined it for me. I got bored watching the mass vs mass fighting (same thing happened to me during the Battle of the Bastards). I liked it when they spent more than a second actually following a character(s). Still undecided on the Arya punks the NK. I think I might have like it better if she had ninja'd out of the heart tree straight onto the NK's head.
Dothraki getting annihilated set the table for how terrifying the army of the dead was. As all those swords went out you went, holy hell this is crazy.
Ghost was in the next episode teaser
Bran already said when he goes under the NK can see him so that was the plan the whole time. Lure him to Bran where they could kill him.
Probably is more to it and we’ll find out more about that later. I doubt Bran is just done.

I’m with you here, Budaw. Too many awesome moments to count...
The initial gazes into the dark abyss
The lighting of the swords
The extinguishing of the swords
The dragon fights
The raising of the dead
The short chick’s battle with the giant
Theon’s last stand and redemption
Arya’s scene in the library
I think the only piece folks saw coming from miles away was the crypt scene, but hey... it was a good thought. Also, I was a little disappointed at the lack of story around Jaime and Tyrion, but I have a feeling that they’re about to get thrown into the forefront of these final episodes
The storyline is incredible. It’s been cultivated over numerous seasons. In the early years folks complained about Arya’s Faceless Man story but it all culminated in killing NK. Name any other show you liked so I have context for your storyline beef. What am I comparing it to?
I agree with everything 615 said. That episode was such a letdown for me. Jon doesn’t even get to fight the NK? How the heck does Arya get past the circle of white walkers to kill the NK. Just such lazy writing. At least show how she was getting past them or let Jon have a fight with him and he escapes. Charging on the army while you have a castle to hide behind is so stupid.
I thought it was the best show of the series. People are complaining that the night king and his army were defeated too quickly after all the build up, but they completely wiped out an entire race of people and ransacked everyone and every thing between the wall and Winterfell. We got two episodes of *** kicking in an 80+ minute episode. We saw House Mormont completely wiped off the map. Dany’s best friend is dead. Dragons kicked each other’s asses in the sky. And, Arya did Arya things.
I don’t think there was anything lazy or rushed about it. I think people are mad because they’ve spent eight seasons deciding whom THEY think should kill the night king and save humanity from the dead and the story didn’t match what they wanted.
That scene when the NK started raising the just killed dead was awesome.
They created major motion picture level battle scenes for a TV SHOW and people are complaining because Arya killed the NK instead of Jon? She was the only one trained well enough to pass his entourage and get near him with only one of his Lts. feellng a slight whish of air passing by. Anyone else would have failed try to get past those soldiers and kill the guy who took on dragon fire and just brushed it off.

have to click it. can't get it to show up for some reason.
That was the greatest episode of anything I've ever seen.
I've seen a theory on twitter for how Arya was able to get that close to the NK without being suspected. It was that Lts. who's hair moved then turns it's head and blinks. Someone said the dead don't blink. Could that have been Arya? Did she "kill" that dead Lt. and steal his face in order to get close? I think it's an interesting theory for sure.
It took FIVE MONTHS to shoot. There was nothing lazy about it.
