It’s a shame Mullen/Collins wasted him in 2014 and gave away the Egg Bowl. Dak is the man.
Stone cold winner. Dallas doesn't deserve him. They are about to empty Jurrah's bank account to keep him.
Yep. Arguably the best NFL QB to come out of the SEC in the past 15 years (yes, he’s been better than Cam for his 3 years in the league), and we wasted his upperclassmen years for the most part. Sucks.
Totally agree. A leader/winner like Dak deserved better than the 10-3 finish with an Orange Bowl loss (the biggest missed opportunity), and a 9-4 senior season beating up on an extremely mediocre NC State in the 17ing Belk Bowl.
Thanks Dan!

You don't give any responsibility to dak for the TOs vs Bama 2014 or OM 2015?

Yeah, he had some rough turnovers against Bama in 2014. He was playing on the road against a team that had more talent than we did across the board (except for QB), and an elite secondary. And he still battled enough for us to have our most competitive game of the Mullen era against them.
Are you going to leave out 2014 OM, where our Defense completely **** the bed in epic fashion against a QB on one leg, when we could have gotten a playoff birth?
You’re going to ignore 2015 Arkansas where Dak willed us to a win despite one of the shittiest defensive performances that anyone will ever see?
2015 Egg Bowl was not even relevant. The die was already cast for that season, and only 7 of their 38 points were on Dak. The rest were on Mullen’s awful preparation during job interview week, and, again, a shitshow on defense.

They drafted him, they pay him, they got Cooper for him. Jerry is Dak's biggest fan.
Dak grew up wanting to play for the Cowboys. And I just think he might win it all for them before it's over.
I love Dak but better than Cam is a tough sell.
Simply look at the numbers over the 3 years they have been in the league together. Dak’s are better by a considerable margin. I’m not arguing who the best college QB was. That was Cam by a mile because of his physical superiority.
GET YOU A RING KID AND LET ALL THOSE ROMOSEXUALS KEEP HATING!!!1!1!1!1!1!
Strictly passing I agree with you but factoring in rushing Cam is the better QB asked to do much more for his team and he had just as much pressure as Dak considering Cam had #1 overall pick weight to live up to. Not knocking Dak it's actually a damn miracle he's even in this conversation. He has come a long way since being Tyler Russell's backup.

That Bama game sums up the Mullen Era. Do some great things for a long time, put yourself in position to close, and then get on the big stage and blow it, when it was the big game of the year or national signing day. Sometimes second place is worse than finishing last. Reese Bobby was right. You don't give any responsibility to dak for the TOs vs Bama 2014 or OM 2015?

Per 2014 vs Bama:
One of those interceptions was tipped at the line; not completely Dak's fault.
Another was only intercepted because De'runnya(?) was tackled in the endzone before the ball got there with no flag; not Dak's fault.
The other was bad; Dak's fault.
With that said, even if all three were his fault, the loss is on Dan and the defensive scheme, not Dak. Dan had a terrible game plan that consisted of too many runs up the middle against arguably the best defensive line in the country. The defense refused to put our best players on the field at the same time. Why was Benardrick, our fastest defender, sitting on the sideline with the game on the line, allowing the bama QB to convert three 3rd and 10's in a row on scrambles?
In 2015, our offensive line was extremely porous and the defense played terribly against um. Dak and the offense scored enough to win.

Sacks: 1 eachImpressive numbers for your argument, but they don't tell the whole story. The reason Dak threw alot of picks was because he was trying to force throws, under duress, to a bunch of receivers that should have been playing in the Sun Belt. Imagine if Amari Cooper and Derunnya Wilson flipped teams before the game. Dak throws one pick and 2 more touchdowns. State wins going away. Gonzales and Mullen were too lazy to try harder in recruiting WR. I am not saying he had to recruit like Saban, but outside of Fred Ross, Dak never had anything close to the WR talent needed to win big games.
I can now verify this with proof at the NFL level, Dak is one of the 10-15 best quarterbacks in the world when he is not hamstrung by having a #1 WR that runs a 4.91(sorry Bear, we love you, but that's slower than Simmons and Sweat will run at the combine.)
Nice attempt to move the goal posts. The bottom line is we had the talent to beat Alabama and didn't do it, doesn't matter how we had recruited prior to that. Matter of fact 2014 is probably the best WR corps MSU has ever had, overall.Impressive numbers for your argument, but they don't tell the whole story. This Cam Newton?

Cam has no heart but a ton of talent. Dak has a ton of heart and some talent. I'm taking Dak. This gif from the freaking Superbowl tells me all I need to know about cam newton.
