Gulf Relay?

[greenvilledawg.sixpack]

that sure turned out to be one heck of a mess.........

[LawDawg97]

Do we need a fourth thread about it?

I think it’s been handled and about the only thing that’s really come out of it is Mutt ain’t here anymore.

It's over and was ultimately handled correctly. Let it go.

Not to beat a dead horse, but how was it handled? I honestly missed what was done other than that generic statement issued by the AD.

“Bulldog Sports Properties (a Learfield company), as a third-party rights holder for MSU Athletics, has sole responsibility for securing sponsorships on behalf of the program. Bulldog Sports Properties signed an agreement with Gulf Relay without any knowledge of the events from 2006. After just recently learning about the situation, Bulldog Sports Properties and the sponsor mutually agreed to end the relationship. Moving forward, Bulldog Sports Properties will work to improve its review process to ensure that sponsors are in alignment with the university and the community.”

Thanks patdog. Good to see the correct action was taken. And I think it truly might have only came about due to the thread on here, as they have been a sponsor for many seasons with this whole thing flying under the radar. Something to think about when we start asking if we “really need another thread” on certain topics.
