Crazy fact kind of OT... Grantham makes more than the manager of the new york yankees. Let that sink in. An assistant coach of a college football team makes more than the Manager of the new york yankees.

R U serious? I thought all (or at least most) MLB managers made
north of $3MM annually? Grantham makes north of that? I am to
lazy to look it up.

The good news for Don is 9-3 will keep the fan base and Spurrier happy this year. If he loses 3 games again next year, they’re going to start getting restless & Spurriers going to start undermining him like he did their last coach.

More likely that Grantham give Mullings the double birds and goes somewhere else.

Well, I've been saying Shoop is at least as good as Grantham. I think he's probably better. He's got our D playing as good as they could play probably. Statistically, there's not much better they could be. I think we've given up the fewest amount of TDs in the entire FBS (announcers said this last night).

It's not fair to say Grantham would have them playing any better. Venebles, Aranda and maybe a couple others could have them better, but Shoop has earned every penny this year and Moorhead should get credit for hiring a quality DC.

I know he's got the talent, but players don't always buy in and the style doesn't always fit. There were definitely questions about the 4-2-5, but hard to argue against the results.

Merkens has overachieved already this year with the lizards. That team had 7-5 written all over it in August.

Don throws the fans under the bus for this loss:

Dan Mullen expresses frustration with the Florida crowd after disappointing loss to Mizzou

“That’s how it works,” a frustrated Mullen said. “I’m gonna be honest with you, this is how it works too, when we sell out the stadium, we win a championship. It doesn’t go the other way. It’s not we win, you sell out. You sell out, you win. Go watch teams that have built programs. That’s how it works.”

“I promise you we’ll give relentless effort, all the fans,” he said. “We will continue to grind. We’ll continue to work. We’ll give unbelievable effort and coach our guys. We’re gonna work hard to make sure that they come out and play as hard as they can next Saturday. And we need the same from the Gator Nation and the support for this team and pushing them and helping them to go be successful both on and off the field.”

I think that's fair. He said the same thing here. We showed up and stuck with the team until we reached the level we're at now.

Yep Aaron Boone makes 1.1 Grantham makes 1.3

In fairness a defensive coordinator does way more work than a Major League Manager. Managers just sit there on their asses and make the occasional pitching change and sub a hitter every now and then. That’s about it. It’s not that hard of a job. The hardest part is keeping the team motivated and in a good state of mind during the long season.

I thought the saying was....."If you build it, they will come." Not the other way around.

Mullen still hasn't learned how to win the big games. When you do that, and win championships, they will pack the swamp. If you lose to Georgia, they won't.
