Who agrees that we should do this on the field again during the games? I know we used to get flagged for it but who cares? It pumped the team and the fans up. I miss it bigtime. It has become a sort of dead tradition to just do it on the sideline.

I know you meant the team, but why would you want them (the team) to do something that gets us a penalty?
A few teams do the “swag surfing” dance in unison lined up like we used to do the dawg pound rock before kickoffs. I don’t see what the difference is. They want to get the crowd into the game from the get go, do the dawg pound rock to start it out on the field. The place would go nuts.
Yes! It would be electric. GhostofJackie... don't you remember when we used to do the dogpound rock on the field and then we would get a penalty and then Jackie would send us right back out on the field to do it again? Who cares its awesome.
I do remember and it was great. Your initial post was about "who cares" if we get a penalty flag, and I'm simply stating that it would a bad idea......

The original Dog pound rock on the 50 yard line were the best. The place would go nuts, the flag would only make the crowd louder..bring it back when you have a stout D like ours.
We did do it on Kickoff against LSU in the second half when we were crushing them last year in Starkville. I don’t remember getting a penalty for it. It was during the 4th quarter I Believe.
They played in for about 30 seconds during the A&M game, and the fans were starting to react and it just stopped. That's nuts. The DPR was one of the greatest things State has done and it has been sweep under the rug.
