I sit in 111 and know exactly whom you are referring to. He sits not too far from my seats and he is a complete jerk. Has his two kids with him and I am sure they are learning from him how to be ******* fans as they mature. I'm going out on a limb here....I think he is from the coast and if he is who I believe he is, his father was an ******* as well. So....he learned from his father.

I would contend that if State has never driven you to cuss at a football game then you should be considered for sainthood. Every school and professional team has these "passionate" fans. If it bothers you so much, I would suggest politely asking him to cool it rather than complaining about it on a message board. I'm just glad that our fans still showed up Saturday and made some noise. We have a ton of hand sitters in the east club where I sit. I wish we had a few more rowdy fans up there but we do our best.

Yeah, I’m sure the guy screaming non stop will listen to a reasoned request to cool it. Has that ever worked in the history of hotheads?

Because yeah sitting way back in the top of the lower bowl chairbacks affords you the opportunity to fuss at everything and be heard by the people you're fussing about***

There’s an ******* that sits in the middle of Section 5 about row 48 or 49. Some punk who likes to be drunk and act like a fool and cuss people out. I think he got a talkin to at the Florida game. I saw him about get his *** kicked at the Egg Bowl last year.

I suppose that's what "not accepting mediocrity" looks like. Plenty of them on these boards and twitter too.

I'm not a prude by any means, but it's just damn uncomfortable when their are plenty of kids and old folks around. It's a bad look.

We had to change locations near 120 cause some guy would just violently slam his bell and curse anytime anything negative would happen....even when we're winning. Hard to enjoy with a-holes like that around.

I regret being an obnoxious fan a long time ago. Every section has at least one that is allowing the bourbon to get the best of them. I won't go out of my way to confront one, but if they're sitting close enough for me to discretely ask them to chill because there are kids all around us, I will. It usually works, but in the rare case that it doesn't I will involve the officer at the top of the stairs. There just isn't room for belligerence and profanity at the expense of children's innocent ears.

Well I have sat near him before and ended up going after him one game several years ago. Moved out of the section bc of him and now I am back with him. Yes is from the Coast and his name rhymes with penis. Bailey Howell and family sat near him up until this year and they got moved away from him and there was a couple who bought tickets right in front him this year and he drove them away after one game. I suggest everyone who sits near him and is disgusted as I am with him to email the BDC, they are aware of him and if enough people will stand up , they may do something about it. Section 111, Row 66 seat 5-9 I believe. I have already emailed Mike Richey, please do the same if he irritates you as much as me!!!

Well if he is who you say I now understand, maybe you were the guy who tried to calm him down a few years ago, nothing works, no football game is worth going to acting like the fool he demonstrates, total disgrace he is!! I feel sorry for his two boys.

Some ******** just need their *** beat.

That the new promo on the jumbotron with John Bond. Instead of teaching the kid to ring responsibly and saying it just takes some folks longer, he is beating someones *** saying some folks just need a beatdown?

Not related to your story but last weekend in a state fan in section 102, I think, was hauled off by several security. His wife/girlfriend looked really upset, sad not mad. All of the other state fans in the section applauded when they took him off. I have no idea what he did but I guess he must be like your buddy in 111.

The BDC can take care of people like that. Just don't sell them tickets.

Never ever works. I've been in quite a few heated situations in games and it always makes things worse. I sat in front of the most embarrassing MSU fan at an egg bowl in Oxford one year. He was dog cussing the whole time and doing his "dog bark". The OM fan sitting next to him with his 10 year old politely asked him to stop cussing so much in front of his son. The guy dog cusses the father at the request. Then declares he is a veteran, as if that gives you the right to do anything you want.

There is no reasoning with these kind of people. They are self interested and most always drunk

During the UF game, a drunk was hauled out of (or encouraged to leave) section 308. When a UF fan would walk by he would aggressively ring his cowbell in the Florida fan's face. Security caught him with a water bottle filled with whiskey, the next thing we knew, he was gone.

Just walk up the stairs to the security guy and tell him the guy is yelling profanity. He will walk down and listen, if he hears it he will have a word with him. It happens again he will escort him out. I've seen it happen.

I was that guy for a long time. Alcohol was always fuel for the assholishness. My username is in homage to my reckless behavior of old.

Half my friends from high school went to UM, so I spent a lot of time there, especially when we were playing away and they were hosting. In my drunken ignorance, I saw it as my duty to TERRORIZE my friends, their families, and anyone who came near me with OM gear on. It's truly a marvel I survived.

Now I roll my eyes at people like that, and every time I get near one I remember my own insanely crude behavior and figure it's my turn to deal with it. I don't take my kids to the games, but when they're old enough, I'll probably have to get engaged.

It's too much to get into without giving my identity away. Suffice it to say I made everyone in the Grove HAAATE my ***. I was vulgar to my friends' parents in front of small children including calling a local judge a dickhead. I called everyone with a bow tie on "dog meat." I told my friend's mom he wasn't a virgin anymore when she was trying to talk some ole Miss ******** to me. I told another friends mother that I was on a mission to get..."laid" in most vulgar terms. I was about a quart of beam 8star in.

You cannot imagine the shame when I had to see these dear friends again. They were all very kind and gracious. Anyway, I'm all growns up now. I eventually quit drinking all together and try to practice the kindness that I didn't deserve back then.

Now I'm intrigued. Was this one bad saturday, or did you make a habit of this.

This describes one incident in particular which I have only highlighted a small portion of the shenanigans I displayed at this particular event.

My move was to drink bourbon out of the bottle (I weighed 155#) until the bourbon was gone. I then turned into Mr. Hyde. I was the type of creep that would heap abuse on other state fans for "not celebrating that win hard enough." I would use proFANE behavior to try to rile up fans on my own side. After the egg bowl 99, my friend used the child locks on his car to keep me from getting out of the car and starting **** with a policeman.

Thank God those days are behind me. When I see that behavior around me, I always figure I deserve it for my past. That whole reaping and sowing thing is legit. I'm far enough removed from it now, that I can laugh at it.

I was never that guy at the games or tailgating but by 2 or 3 am I’d hit another gear.
Went to homecoming game when I was a senior in high school. Me and friend managed to start a fight with the entire Kappa Sig pledge class. We held our own through the first 5 or 6 guys but then I was like the walki g dead. We got swarmed and taken down. Hard. I remember stumbling out into the parking lot then the next think I remember is holding a cup of water on my head while trying to eat a pancake at Waffle House. No idea how we got to Waffle House.

Being around OM fans in Oxford that much would drive anyone to the bottle.

My 8yo daughter who has never been to a game, still has to deal with this on game days...so sad.
