The positive is that we found out Moorhead isn't functionality retarded.

The negative is we should be an easy 5-0

I was gonna start a thread to ask if the hysterical would warm up to Moorhead because he did what we've been asking for, or if they would double down on the sass. This thread should help me understand.

I feel the same. I'm no more sold on Moorhead than pregame. I'm sick to think it took his dumbass this long to figure out what every fan has been screaming for since day 1. This is his team. How did he not know this?

If you’re pissed right now you have some serious issues. Have a drink, or take a toke. Chill the 17 out and enjoy a win over #8 Auburn.

100%. I often laugh at fans thinking they could call the plays, but it was that obvious the last two weeks. We could have easily beaten Florida and Kentucky had our play calling been at all responsive.

What makes him a dumbass? If you didn’t have higher expectations for our season then you are dumbass. Am I glad we won? Yeah but am I excited about this win at 3-2 instead of 4-1 or 5-0? 17 no. It’s just another win for me. Honestly the only thing that will salvage the season for me is a Bama and Ole Miss win. Anything short of that and I’m very disappointed with this season and jomos first season.

The would-be coaches on here were validated tonight. Just run the ball. And give it to the backs for crying out loud! It’s who we are. Moorhead can establish an identity with his own players after he recruits them.

Maybe pissed off was too strong. Just frustrated, but I won't take this **** to bed with me, and I'm enjoying the hell out of beating #8. I'm chill, don't drink or smoke.

Some of them are already all in on the Moorhead Bad/Somebody Else Good narrative so they can’t back it down now. They’re pot committed.

I guess if he’s here five or ten years they’ll have to keep it going the whole time now. Gonna get old but whatever makes them happy.

At least they gave their tickets away cheap.

If you are "more pissed" after beating a top 10 Auburn team then you really need to find another hobby. You are not cut out for college football.

I hope you don't have a family. If you do.i feel.sorry for them

Hell nah, if he's here that long, means he's winning and I'll STFU. Tickets stay with me.

Sounds to me like you (and many others) set yourself up for disappointment. 10-11 wins with this team was always a pipe dream. Is this the most talented team we’ve had in a while? Yes. Even still, is this only the 4th or 5th most talented team in our own division and only 6th or 7th most talented team in the conference? Also yes. Middle of the pack talent in the SEC plus first year coach plus a brand new system on both sides of the ball is never going to equal 10-11 wins.

People were wooly because we had a good year last year and returned a bunch of starters, without taking into consideration that the experience factor with returning starters was greatly negated by the scheme and staff changes. There were always going to be growing pains. Hopefully, they are finished after the last 2 weeks. 9-3 is still achievable if we can get a W in Baton Rouge coming off the bye.

Good to hear it.

Give the guy a chance. He’s a smart guy, absolutely works his *** off and culturally is a good fit for our program.

Sometimes things take a minute. He can’t get those two losses back but I have no doubt he is busting his *** to get us a West title.

This is true. Do we have talent? Yes. Do we have more talent than the upper half of the SEC. No. We are right there in the middle

Winning 10 games in the sec isn't easy.

How in the hell can any fan be pissed off after beating 1.) Auburn, a consistently decent to good/great SEC West team, and 2.) The #8 team in the country, whether or not they are "ACTUALLY" good enough to be #8 - still #8.

We're not gonna be able to go back in time and beat KY and FL, but this win should get you excited or at least a little hopeful for the future.

Apparently you missed the one where a poster said we should fire Shoop tonight. After he held Auburn to 0 TDs.

It is a coin toss. I guess we should discount all of Bama’s coaches since they only win with NFL talent as well.

good grief. Life is short. Enjoy it while you can.

Set myself up for disappointment? How did I do that? I mean we have a championship defense that is allowing 12.4 PPG which is top ten in the nation. We averaged 32 points per game and returned most starters on a 9-4 team. We just hired a head coach who most think is a genius offensive guy. When would be a good time as a State fan to have high expectations if not this year? The growing pains you speak of is that Moorhead was 17ing stubborn instead of realizing what this team was. You lost me at middle of the pack talented team. You have no clue. We have talent. It just wasn't being used. Look what happens when our RB's get touches. Good things. You can't slow down a defense if you don't run the 17ing ball which is what we didn't do to Kentucky and Florida, which is why Fitz didn't have time to throw the ball. Tonight he had time, because we ran the 17ing ball. It's pretty simple let Hill and Williams carry the rock. Yo must be old as **** not to see that.

Going into this season, this should have been the expectation:

Locks:
SFA
KSU
ULL
UK
UF
LaTech
Arkansas

Toss-ups:
Auburn
LSU
Texas A&M
Ole Miss

Probable Loss:
Alabama

If you’re telling me that sweeping that anemic group of locks and then taking 3 of 4 “toss-ups” was a pipe-dream, then you’re an idiot.

The talent was here for it this year.

You should go back and look at the stats from the Florida game, particularly the number of second half carries for our running backs.

I'm not ready to declare he isn't functionally retarded. The jury is still out.
