This will eliminate at least two threads this football season.

10) “WHAT TO WEAR” At the request of the fans, we have removed a “what towear” suggestion for games one and two this year. We will not have a blackout game forthe 2018 season. Click here to see what to wear for the other five 2018 home footballgames. This year’s Stripeout Game will be November 3rd against Louisiana Tech. Visithailstate.com/stripeout for a stadium map showing what to wear by section.

I hope we keep going in this direction and one year soon that answer to the What to Wear question is a simple: whatever you want as long as it's maroon or white.

2 threads? i think you're underestimating the amount of hate. but to be honest, i think the baseball team took all my black uni fears away.

First and foremost, it’s clear that Cohen and crew are taking this feedback seriously, so I’ll give the entire athletic department credit for that.

I’ve gotta ask, though... has the stadium sound system and cell service not been an issue for nearly two decades now? I’m just really struggling to understand why these two items are still a problem even though we seem to be told every year... “a study has been done, and improvements are on the way”

Lastly, I’m excited to know about the new parking service and traffic flow. There’s nothing like being told an hour after the game that you may as well get out of your car and go back to the tailgate because attendants have been instructed to hold your lot for the next 45 minutes

I'll believe in better traffic flow when I see it. It seems unfathomable that some civil engineer can't look at the parking areas and the roads available for getting off campus and figure out a better way to have people exit.

They have been saying that they are fixing the sound system for 3-4 years now and nothing gets done, at least now they are definitely saying they are not fixing it so thats progress. They are working with C-spire but what if you have ATT or Verizon, well if you have Verizon it doesn't matter because it already works, but what about the poor fans with ATT? If you think hiring a different company is going to make egress from campus after a game better, then I have a sure thing investment opportunity for you.

It mentioned better CSpire coverage (which they have put lots of in ground boxes in The Junction is the past few weeks). So I guess me, being an AT&T sheep, will be screwed again this year.

I hope you're right about CSpire improving the service around campus. My cspire iphone may as well be a paper weight on game day. Meanwhile, in Oxford, CSpire provides in stadium wifi for their customers and CSpire coverage is not an issue. Cell service and sound system are my two main gripes as they have been since cell phones became prevalent.

This is asinine for fans to be complaining about of all the things there could be to complain about. Here is a novel idea, if you don't want to wear what's being requested DON'T. Hard to believe but you will STILL be let in to the game even with a different color shirt. Why complain about it? Complain about something worth someone's time.

Sir, the internet was created by Al Gore himself for the express purposes of complaining about meaningless minutiae.

In the last 5 years, I’ve probably been to 25 different venues throughout the southeast, and I have never had any major issues anywhere other than our campus.

Trust me, I get that game day brings a system overload, but literally every other venue that I attended figured out how to manage it. Also, why are we so hell bent on only doing something for CSpire customers? University decision or is it just AT&T basically saying 17 Starkville?

We are a cell phone family of 4 on AT&T, 2 iPhones and 2 Androids and we may as well leave them at home ours are so bad on game day. Texts may go through in 15 minutes or it may be hours. Data, good luck, especially during the game. Calls work occasionally.

Apparently someone in the athletic department has been reading the relentless/rejected thread because they just pushed out all these changes they are making to game day this year:

https://hailstate.com/sports/2018/8/21/responses-solutions.aspx

Ha I guess I’ll wear my black shirt when I want to. The traditional Maroon and White all of the time is boring as hell. The players and the recruits love the black unis. It’s not for the Geriatrics that filled out the survey.
