Barrett is spouting verbatim the OM media (Neal, Ben, Chase, etc...) justifications for everything. He’s basically man OM talking head. The thing is, I don’t mind Ben, Neal, etc... arguing those points. It serves their interest. The thing I’ve akways said about BS, and on the board to HD, is that BS is incapable of original thought. That stream of consciousness he unleashed on twitter is 100% from
his phone calls with Ben & Neal. Another given: he was texting with one of those guys during the exchange with Walker looking for attaboys.

The hole in Shea Patterson's argument, though, is that he was already enrolled at UMiss before the first NOA was issued. Unless I am badly mis-remembering this (which is possible), Shea was an early enrollee in January, 2016, just a few days BEFORE the first NOA was issued. Is he really claiming that if he had been told the truth about that first NOA -- which resulted in UMiss's voluntary scholarship reductions -- he would have considered transferring to some other school even though it was too late to enroll for the Spring at his new location? Seems unlikely.

I would like to see the NCAA let him play, though.

I also think its funny that the UMiss supporters claim Shea's brother, Sean, would have known the truth about the NOA and could have told his brother. The Houston Nutt complaint says the NOA was basically kept under lock and key and only shared with staff on a "need to know" basis while Bjork and Freeze figured out what to do and say. I don't know if that's true, but I still find it unlikely they would have informed the assistant recruiting coordinator (or whatever his title was) of the details of an NOA that they were not sharing with the public.

Totally agree. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang requires less suspension of disbelief than this whole saga and the stories of the various parties.
