Well they like to have it at the end of October or very beginning of November so it's either Georgia, MSU, or Alabama

Well, if you follow conventional wisdom its a bad move because even if they expect to win the game State is far from the guaranteed win status most look for in a homecoming opponent.

Conventional wisdom aside, you schedule who you want. I remember when I was a student at State we played the following homecoming opponents 1980: USM 81:Miami 82:Auburn 83:Miami We won a HC game once in 4 years and that was a penalty aided win against Miami. Played auburn again for HC again in a couple of years.

I want to say that beatdown was '86 or so.

Played auburn again for HC again in a couple of years.

I was in high school but drove to the game with some friends. I think we lost like 41-0, or something. Somehow I went to State the next year anyway. Fun times.

Gotta love where we fall on their scheduled. Sandwiched between UGA and Bama. Licking their wounds from UGA while looking ahead to Bama.

I think we had a 50% chance to win before I knew it was Home coming. I think the odds we win just went to 70%.
