I didn’t catch the opening ceremony. Just the 2 events I mentioned. Johnny Weir is as flamboyant as they come but it’s figure skating. I can deal a day or 2 every 4 years lol

Watch the coverage on the NBC Sports app. Watch whatever sports you want, when you want. Every second of the event, or just the highlights. And the announcers are people who regularly cover the sports instead of network personalities. It's awesome.

ETA: Right after typing that last night, I got caught in some weird commercial loop on the App, where every 10 seconds or so I was getting the same ad for Mama Mia II. I had to exit the snowboard coverage, restart it, and fast forward to the final runs.

And, while I'm confessing that the app may not be as "awesome" as I originally claimed, watching the snowboard downhill from start to finish was kind of boring. A dozen guys, making 3 runs each down the hill, and hardly anyone made it down the hill without falling. But, you never know when someone might throw down a clean run and get on the podium, so you couldn't just fast forward through it. That might have been a competition better watched by letting the network edit it down.
