Why of course go talk to the kid. Tell him how he will be used on the team, gauge what he wants in NIL and then let it play out.

I wouldn't get too hung up on what type of players Pope liked at BYU. Remember, it was a bunch if Mormons. He was going to have to have shooters by nature lol.

Thats not to say it isn't his offensive style... but I don't think he's going to turn down elite talent just because they might not be the most efficient shooters available. Pope went from being out of the running for 90% of recruits, to basically being able to make a run at anyone he wants. That opens up a LOT of opportunity.
