I wouldn’t read too much into it . Awful quick decision. The plan was likely to come back with the plane ….you can have a presser Friday

You realize we could strike out in all 3 right? And then where are we?
I've said since the beginning we were striking out on all 3 and it was one of the reasons I was fine with Cal coming back for one more year to see if any potential candidates settle out a bit.

I'd rather take a chance on someone like Golden than hire Drew.

The fact people are willing to pass on a coach with a title and several solid recruiting. Classes is insane to me.
Kevin Ollie had a title too. Drew won his title in that weird Covid year, so there are certainly arguments to be made it was a fluke. Other than that he barely gets out of the second round. I believe 8 of the last 11 tournaments he hasn't gotten to the second weekend. I am fully convinced he's fools gold.

He’s not my top choice either but I think some people are overly discounting him.

And then send the jet back for a third trip in two days tomorrow?

Yeesh, UK and the Craft family might have some explaining to do to the global warming cops after this drama has fully played out.
Each trip cost about $10000. Unreal

Tristan Pharis said Drew has a tentative offer and he and family are mulling it over, while we still pursue Hurley. Decisions are expected tomorrow.

Hopefully he said no and now Mitch goes full steam ahead with Hurley.

If this is the case, mitch really needs to dig deep and find a way to get Hurley 13m, even if that means adding some tournament incentives to make that 13m.

I know going from 11 to 13 (or 14) mil isn't cheap and it's got to come from somewhere.. but if Hurley turns our to be THE guy, he's going to drive revenue to cover that salary, while also keeping him from a team that could very well overtake UK in titles.

Offer 13m, figure it out later. You just saved 33mil with Cal leaving.
