I think it's a done deal and he and Mitch have had a gentlemens agreement for a while now if Cal was out..... Mitch doesn't probably care about repercussions and will do things his way because he is soon to retire.

Good, we need to wait 7 MEASLY days for Donovan since we are talking about the next 7+ YEARS of the program! Drew is fine, but should have been only after Donovan (who seems to finally have perfect timing!)
This.

The timing is right this go around. Plus, most of the press conferences I have seen lately of Donovan, he seems miserable.

All this **** in the media is just pizzaz, it's a done deal and Drew's little stunt in Waco with the boosters is just to get the number he is looking for from UK.... not a raise from Baylor. I don't care if his wife is an absolute nerd who hates social interaction, women love money more than anything and 8.5 million can change your mindset real quick. Plenty of Baptist churches in Lexington, KY. Regardless of what people think, it is the south... culturally anyway

So, if Drew turns down the job, Hurley says no and Donovan says no thanks. Then what?

Dickie V might want to go back to coaching. He is the greatest expert on the planet and has all that passion. Some UK fans would get excited!!!

If the craft jet is flying back to Waco like some are saying and Mitch has a timeline set for tomorrow, that tells me Drew is most likely accepting the job

He wouldn't send his wife up here alone if he hadn't already decided he was 100% in. It's up to her at this point and I doubt she'll nix it as I'm sure when he told her it was the top of the mountain of college basketball and that he wanted to do it she was in pending a visit.

My question is why would Scott Drew take that photo with the booster? From a christian/family man it seems like a weird thing to do to your fanbase if your leaving.
Coaches do weird stuff. I try not to read into social media, but I did find it interesting that post had no mention of Baylor or his future. Very different from what Oats put out.

What do you mean regardless of what people think?

Drew is a man of deep faith. That's a good thing!

"All that matters is when I get to those gates, God's not going to say 'What was your record?, How many players did you help get to the pros? How many championships did you win?' So at the end of the day I am making sure (the players) are winning the game of life," he said.

"If you have the right foundation and you know that Jesus has a plan for your life and you trust Him in handling your future then you can relax and enjoy the game of basketball, you can enjoy the game of life and at the end of the day winning the game of life is a lot more important than the game," Drew added.

Starting to think Drew was Mitch's guy, buuuut, Drew is struggling with leaving or not. It's probably an extremely difficult decision for Drew and his family to leave Waco. Mitch is probably waiting for an answer before he throws money at Hurley and Donovan. Mitch will probably give him more time than the fans would like.

He wouldn’t. And his wife wasn’t flown up to Lexington while he was doing it. He’s a straight shooter, no games, man of faith. He’s grounded in Waco and wants to stay.

I’d predict Cal openly begging to return to Lexington telling Matt Jones on LIVE radio that he regrets his choice to live out some surreal Green Acres horror show in Fayetteville before I’d predict Scott Drew posting that picture today and accepting the UK job tomorrow.
