It’s been said a thousand times on here, Cal is nothing but a charlatan using UK to develop young players for the NBA. And he’s a terrible strategist and in-game coach.

I don't understand why people are using other programs successes as some mark on the guy tho

Who is to say Uconn, Duke and Villanova wouldn't have won those titles regardless who was coaching here lol.

The last few years have been awful. But he did give us number 8 and he did take us to multiple final fours.

I wish Cal had never been hired . Knowing what this program has become , I wish another direction had been taken, and he never stepped foot in Kentucky. I'd love to redo it all over, and see what happened. The 2012 title isn't worth the **** pile he has created.
lol get a life

I feel like people tend to take things to the absolute extreme on this board.

One could be grateful for the final fours and title and simultaneously be upset with how things are going. I think to ignore either side is a bit foolish

Because he was the HIGHEST paid coach in college basketball and is in the top 3 now. To expect Cal to give UK top 3 or even THE TOP results during his time as coach should NEVER be downplayed.

Out of these other schools(UConn, Nova, Duke) that have had MORE success during this time span, ONLY Duke has a coach that would be considered better than Cal. Heck, UConn has done it with 3 different coaches!!!

Cal has been paid to do the job that these other 3 programs are DOING or have DONE during Cal's tenure. ONE title in 15 years could have been accomplished by NUMEROUS coaches at UK. The ONLY 2 coaches NOT to win a championship during their tenures here were BOTH DRUNKS.

Cal has ZERO excuses for where this program is right now!!!!

We're not even competitive at this point. The difference between us and the rest of the teams left in the tournament is startling. There is no defending Cal at this point.
You’re right. There is NO defending cal right now. But we are still competitive. Just not in March. Look at Louisville and Indiana. You can say they are not competitive and your be right.

If both Tenn and bama get to the final 4 that means we are 2-1 this year against them. Last time Kansas and unc made the final 4 together we were 2-0 against them on the season. We have been competitive overall. But when the pressure mounts in the post season we fold. Cal tightens up and we go home.

The job is swallowing him just as many said it would. I was hoping they were wrong.

This board is a platform for folks to anonymously regurgitate their emotions. You’ll find mostly hyperbole and toxicity. The middle ground is off limits
