97 points is the most A&M has scored all season. And guess what? They did it TWICE against us.

We will win one game in the NCAAT, maybe two.

There was no way Cal was going to coach in consecutive days. You see how Mr. Metal Hips walks on the sidelines.

You’re right, if we can’t win 1 game in the SEC Tourney, there is no way we win 2 games in the NCAA. It doesn’t matter if we were a 1 seed our defense sucks.

absolutely, considering the caliber of players
I've seen elite athletes who couldn't catch a ground ball.
Everybody has weaknesses. Our glaring, team-wide, weakness is defense.
It is that simple.
You cannot expect to always hide or compensate for your weaknesses with offense.

When you make lay-up's all night and shoot open 3's. 97 is not difficult.

Hey now. I’m only 44, 6’ and 155 lbs and my hip is already giving out. Let’s leave bad hips out of this.
I have a soft spot for metal hips. One of my favorite tennis players refuses to retire even though the fat lady’s been singing since 2019!

Just had hip replacement at 61 after years of jogging. Wish that I had done it sooner.

I started a thread on this, but what adjustments did Cal make after the first loss to them? I didn't see any obvious ones. Fixing why you lost to a team before the next time you play them is very basic coaching. Cal doesn't give us that.

Why UK choose to defensively scheme these 2 things was mind blowing:

1. Why we picked up the ball 30 feet from basket when Taylor/Radford were just blowing by any guard we put out there was absurd. Just pick them up at the 3pt line and not give them a head of steam going north/south.
2. Our scheme once a high ball screen was set our guards go from staying in front of ball handler to playing one side of the ball handler and chasing over the screen...and then our bigs were a mess in being on correct side of picks. It was all night long, a wide open three off of penetration or downhill drives at the rim.

Why we never adjusted to go under ball screens, trap the ball handler and force it out, not play Ugo at all and go smaller/quicker on ball screen bigs, tried zone for 2 minutes, etc...Just the same old Cal stuff. This looked like your typical NBA pick up game defense philosophy.
