Where is Z?

"Don't try and get [Big Z] baskets. Just play. You'll see him for lobs - he's seven-two."

- Cal before the GA game
Maddening, tons of prior performances against other professionals as well as the obvious UGA shooting and Cal still can't let his own brain accept that a 7-2 guys 3 point shots actually count on the scoreboard, AND come easier than him dribbling into all 5 defenders to get closer to only make two far more difficult points.
Like there's not a major shift in the PROFESSIONALS showing the effectiveness of tall shooters dropping bombs over defensive positions

On the bench where he belongs...

I love Z, but don’t get how anyone can watch him and not see what a huge liability he is in defense. He’s probably the worst defender on a terrible defensive team.

Ugo deserves all the minutes at the 5.

I probably will be gone in 5 years, but I'll take whatever bet you want to make. I assume "under the right organization" is your out. The kid can shoot, but sucks at every other aspect of the game.

Big Z is done playing he doesn't make the new Rotation.

Lol, they forgot Dante Allen's one good game.
Z=Allen

Turn your expertise in coaching, people. Junior leagues need coaches.
Some wonderful comments from just a few weeks back. A few of us led the charge for Z to get a chance . Just 15-20 min a game . I think its worked out pretty dang well, and possibly he could even be farther ahead if he didnt get ignored several games.

Cal can take a marcus lee and make him a fan favorite. Its a beautiful thing to watch these players develop into roles that help win games. There's something good about big Z, he has lost some confidence after seeing how aggressive sec play is.....He's missed several 3's but I think his main game will always be in the paint.

Z missing 3’s is not a confidence thing, more of law of averages. The guy is still shooting 46% from 3. 2-3 looks a game from him is perfect and needed (even if he misses) to keep the defense honest on him. If he starts showing he will not take them defense will start to sag off of him and that takes a big weapon away from us. My fear is cal is shutting him down from the perimeter as he never even looked at the basket yesterday when out front with the ball.

That pick and roll action with Rob is a beautiful thing. Hope we keep utilizing that.

You put some work in to this one. I'll stick with my comment and bet that he won't be an NBA all star in 2-5 years, or whatever I was responding to.

A few weeks back he was pretty bad and deserved every bit of criticism. You're not going to believe this but players ARE capable of improving.
