He ran the floppy action with Reeves in the first half. Jordan Wright was grabbing and holding on every rub off of screens. Nothing called.

Second half, the officials called three fouls on Reeves for grabbing Wright on cuts. I watched replays of each one...Wright was grabbing Reeves arms and flopping for the call. That's what you get with a player that's been in college for 10 years...savvy veteran.

I had a bad feeling about the LSU timeout. The LSU players were about to give up and the timeout enabled the coach to remind them that they had just come back from like 18 down on the road against South Carolina to win. TV ran a replay of Ward's lackadaisical defense that resulted in the Reeves three-pointer from the corner. Out of the timeout, Ward's energy was way up and he was all over the court for deflections and loose balls. The message obviously got through.

This lineup and this sequence of events that cost us the game was simply Cal giving Wagner a chance to improve HIS NBA stock with what Cal THOUGHT was a comfortable 15 point lead.

Wagner should have easily been the top offensive option with that bastardized combo on the floor and it took less than 3 minutes to prove to Cal what the Bennies already know.

This team will go as far as Reed, Dilly, and Reeves take them.

Cal just has to face the reality that he has to play them together for at least 30 minutes a game. Start them. Start the second half with them. Keep playing them when they are hot. Keep playing them even when they are not.

They are our best chance at winning.
