Nice. I was hoping they’d switch us into the 9 spot. Finish these last two games strong, and we’ll be looking pretty good going in to league play.
Please…..just stay in the top 10 for a few weeks.

Small gripe but UT with 3 losses ahead of UK seems goofy to me.
It absolutely is. They have to stick it to us somehow.

Me too! I know they played good teams, but they didn’t win any of them! North Carolina put a hundred on them!
They have 1 more loss and a worse record against common teams in KU and UNC. Just goes to show how much that UNCW game hurt.
If it was Duke or North Carolina or Kansas without their starting PG, 2 bigs and 1 big that played in his first college game after being out months with a broken foot, playing sparingly and tentatively, the AP would sweep that loss under Bill Self’s rug.
Surprised 4 loss Bama isn't ahead of UK as well due to their tough losses lol. Loss 5 incoming against Zona next.
When you lost to UNCW on your home floor, you shouldn't complain.
The love affair for the Vols is disgusting. They are 1-3 against ranked teams.
Exactly reason why the pom has us # 21 letting mickey mouse teams beat you on your home floor you pay the price for it
No biggie. We'll be able to settle it on the court before tourney time one way or the other.
They have 3 losses, but ZERO of them came to Unranked Teams:
#1 Purdue
#2 Kansas
#9 North Carolina
We have lost to:
#1 Kansas
Unranked UNCW in Rupp --------> THIS is the difference!
Stay a few weeks longer….and so on.
Just don’t lose to a cupcake and drop back out. Keep working toward a top seed.
With a 5 point loss to KU and then the beat down of Miami and beating UNC, seems like the UNCW game would be seen a fluke by now. Sure that game cant be held against us all year. I mean it was a fluke,
They also don't have a win is good as either number 8 Miami or number 9 UNC.
You need to mention that as well to give the full picture.
I dont really care and that's why I said a small gripe. UK is better than UT and when UK sweeps UT again this year that will be known to all.
UNCW from being top 5, maybe top 3
Sadly, it can be held against us. That was a bad loss at home.
We have 2 potential Quad 1 Wins so far..
Miami
UNC
Tennessee will definitely a Quad 1 Win - hopefully we can at least split the two meetings or take a sweep!
Gonzaga, looks to be trending down and slipping to a Quad 2 or 3.
Hopefully our body of work by seasons end will be good enough for it to not be a negative to the selection committee.
We cannot afford stupid losses to Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, and Georgia this season.

Early in the season it can't be fully dismissed, but come March I don't think it'll matter much. Missing our starting PG who is turning into a stud will cause a lot of people to ignore it a bit. I don't think it's really held against us by the selection committee if we take care of business in conference play.
One of the most helpful things I ever read was this, "You wouldn't care what people think of you if you knew how little they do."
My prediction is that game will hurt less and less as it will be clear that it was an anomaly (and DJ was out), assuming we keep winning.
The win against UNC heals a lot of ailments, including the UNC-W game.
It reaffirms the eye-test that we are indeed one of the best teams in America, makes up for UNC-W, allows us to head into conference play with (what should be) a Top-10 ranking, and we still have one more marquee non-conf game in Gonzaga in Feb to bolster our ratings even more (that game should come at a perfect time for us).
So pumped after Saturday.
So after that **** loss few weeks back we can still get a 1seed. Lots of losses coming for teams and starting SEC play with a top 10 ranking is huge and also keeps a target on us as if we didn't already have one big enough. Anyone gonna do a SEC schedule analysis soon and give us outlook and match-ups to look forward to?
Even though we might not like it, its good Tennessee is where they are and we probably will play them 3 more times. Its on baby. Keep winning!
Every year, there seems to be some teams who get the benefit of the doubt when losing to good teams. Tenn appears to be one this year.
I get their losses where all to top ranked teams, but honestly, if UK were to lose three games to top teams (in a row) do you think we’d be ranked in the top 10? I don’t.
Of course they would. It’s ok, I don’t want the team getting a big head. I want them to feel dissed and have to prove something.
All I know is if UK lost all 3 of those games we wouldn’t be in the top 20.
9 is a good spot considering we have UNC-W on our record
