Gonna be honest. It's nearly 5 in Louisville and KP still has a job......kinda shocking.

It really is bizarre. I mean at this point you have to do it now to save face. Just cut bait and eat the extra 3 million. Louisville has never been a blue blood, but they are a top ten program all time. Really can’t let this charade continue another second if you expect to stay relevant.

He will be gone after UK game at this point. Either he somehow beats us and proves himself or we trounce them and that gives them the last nail.

They're gonna make him coach against us next week then level the axe after we obliterate them. The Yum Center is gonna be 95% blue.

They will keep him at least though the UK game.

A) Cal won’t run up the score against his friend
B) if they miraculously keep it close UL has an excuse to keep him
C) they don’t want a new guy to have to coach against UK

Would any of you do it? Not for head coach money. Same wages you make now, but to Coach Louisville for the rest of the season. Would you do it?

What's happening is a shame. Coach Payne is a quality person and a smart basketball man. People like him, and he has loyal friends. I won't say I know him well, because I don't. But I have enjoyed our occasional discussions. He was a great associate coach for us and a good assistant for the Knicks. He made the mistake of taking a job at UL. That is the kiss of death. I don't think he knows how to navigate the horrible situation in Louisville. I take no joy in watching him flail at it. Wish he was still with us.

For head coach money, I absolutely would, For what I make now no way in hell as I own a mortgage company and let’s just say it’s been a rough year. Even in my best years, I still would not. For a good starting head, coaches, salary sign me up..

I am surprised nothing happened today. I heard that UL was supposed to have a press conference today and I was waiting for the hammer to fall...but nothing happened. Maybe they really are waiting until after they play us. Who knows, I gave up a long time ago trying to predict anything that has to do with college basketball. It's to the point that you just think what would be the most logical thing to do (about anything college basketball) and for sure the exact opposite usually happens, especially the NCAA!

Actually IMHO, U6 beating us would be the worst thing for them. They'd have to keep KP for rest of the season which would still be a dumpster fire.

I'm calling it now. Chris Beard will be the new UL coach. Everything about him screams UL. And if I find out that he drinks Crown Royal, well, match made in heaven for them.
