***** Official UK Vs. UNCW Game Thread *****

[TortElvisII]

Shep not being a ball hog cost us.

[katwest]

I recorded this game to watch later. Now I’m glad I watched Georgia and Alabama. I will just delete the basketball game, don’t need to watch this tonight. Really disappointed, but this is what happens when you play a lot of Freshman. Great one game, terrible next.

[jameslee32]

Now they hit FT's. lol

[drew_ukfan_rivals]

We pissed all over ourselves today

[akaukswoosh]

Worse than ugly. Having to listen to Fishback, who I I’ve always hated, makes it twice as bad.

[Son_Of_Saul]

This ending is hilarious.

So much effort in the last 40 seconds that wasn't there all game.

Our guys needed to get slapped.

[kywildcatsfan#1]

So sick and damn tired of 6'7 wing players shooting bricks.

[pauled#1]

This is sickening!

[phyrekat]

That play kinda summed up the game today - Shep makes a great steal, then a bad pass that goes out off of Burks.

[Big BlueBeard]

Our bench should beat UNCW..

I agree. Not a good game at all.

[TheDude73]

And we let Edward’s shoot a three? He has hit NONE!

[CatsFan4Evr]

So f’in pissed right now.

[CB3UK]

This is horseshit

[fisherscatfan_rivals101526]

No need for me to get mad about this game. I've seen what we can do. Maybe this will light a fire. They gotta know teams are gonna bring it night in and night out. You can't take games off or take anyone lightly.

This will cost them in the seeding process.

[permdaddy_rivals45705]

Outside of Wagner we have no one that can play D on the perimeter. I lost hope long ago that Reeves would learn Reed and Rob need to get better fast.

[RMorris33_rivals]

Boooo. Pitiful effort today. Credit to UNCW for making shots

[LmdCat]

I have had enough of Edwards. There is nothing he has shown to give anyone reason to believe that he will be any better in March than he is now. He won't be here next season and it won't be because he went to the NBA. He will transfer out because his handlers know he can't earn the minutes they want him to get at UK. He is Boston with a left hand shot.

[Seth_C]

ok everyone, get the cliche Calipari post game comments ready

Don’t worry. Now he doesn’t hear the noise from the Bennie’s. Next time we win he will know exactly everything anyone said on a message board and directly respond to it.

He’s one of the most fake, condescending people around. Can’t wait for him to leave or retire or do whatever he has to do that I don’t have to deal with him just to watch the team I love. Absolutely can’t happen soon enough. If we are going to lose to the likes of UNC Wilington AT HOME at least let us have a kind, likable, honest coach.

[Kentucky2022]

Inexcusable to lose this ******* game

[Crawfords Corner]

I could have gone to the FC Cincinnati match. F*** me!!!!

[FirewithFire]

Worse than ugly. Having to listen to Fishback, who I I’ve always hated, makes it twice as bad.

You can definitely tell it's a big football day. We got the bottom of the barrel announcers.

[The_Answer1313_rivals]

down 7 3.3 left

Lets take a timeout to extend this pain

[RoyKent]

Would love to hear from the “we don’t need DJ losers” now

[darkshadesofblue]

What garbage

[entropy13]

What an @sshole timeout by Cal. Eff that loser!

[fisherscatfan_rivals101526]

Cal calling timeout and dropping some knowledge with 3 seconds left.

[ManitouDan_anon]

The missed rebounds by Reeves when we were up by 6 were the difference in this game. That gave UNCW 4 easy put-back points.

Dumb thing is , he had inside position , guy just isnt very strong .

[jameslee32]

DJ Wagner is the on ball defender we missed badly today when everyone got excited about Aaron Bradshaw who plays 13 mins.

Congrats to UNCheats-Wilmington

[TankedCat]

Man I’m no Cal fanboy. Just call it like I see it. Guys played like ****. Been playing well, but that’s not all Cal, either. Guys gotta get it done on the court.

yea they do because they are freshmen
its by design, you're going to get these game, we LOSE game every November and December to teams we shouldn't lose to, and it kills our ability to do anything in the tournament

There is only one person who makes the decision to play Freshmen in November/December

[TheBlueMist]

We call a timeout for the rare 7 points in 3 seconds play.

[permdaddy_rivals45705]

That bad start cost us. Just came out flat today for no reason

We had a 2 point lead with 16 minutes to go. We shat the bed today....both halves.

[*Fox2Monk*]

When is the last time a national title team lost at home to a mid major? we're not winning a title unless Cal is out and Welch is coaching.

Pretty sure Welch had as much input in this game as every other one this year. This loss is inexcusable but the whole team lost this one. We didn’t pass the ball, we tried hero ball, had foul problems, and could defend one on one to save our lives.

[NociHTTP]

Fire Calipari after the season, please. I've seen enough. I'm sick of his incessant need for "dribble drive pound it inside" offense., We need Wagner back, and for Burks to get better. I'd just sit Bradshaw for awhile, let him get his strength back and learn more in practice. Burks has burst, put him in there with Mitchell if you really want to have a G-G-F-F-C

[mash_24]

I like Edwards. Like his attitude and desire. But his production does not match his minutes.

[Kentucky2022]

There first ever ranked road win lol

[StubbornPenny]

Pathetic performance

[true-blue1]

First ranked win on the road in program history.

[KyCatFan1]

This one ain’t on Cal, fellas. Guys played like ****.

He recruits these guys, coaches them, screws with substitutions, let's them play hero ball, and refuses to put them in a position to win by playing different defenses. It's all on him. We didn't lose because we played good and just couldn't make a basket and they couldn't miss. We lost because it was a total all systems failure.

[RMorris33_rivals]

I know it won't happen but we should drop out of the top 25 purely due to embarrassment

[ArtLaibsGhost_rivals]

Welcome back trolls

Also like to welcome back a Q3 loss at home,
