Wagner and Edwards have been almost unbelievably terrible. How two guys getting that many shots could be this bad and this be even a close game is shocking. To this point in the season they both appear terribly overrated and have done nothing to show they deserve more than reserve minutes behind the guys who can actually play.

At present, they are a combined 1/16. 0/6 from deep.

They have played well before this game. It is ridiculous to be ranting and raving about them at this time. They are struggling against the number 1 team in men's college basketball. The team is playing better than most people expected. Why do you have to be so negative with UK exceeding expectations?

More importantly, WHERE'S SHEPPARD.
You know, the guy that Cal said we needed to have on the floor?
Keep up dimwit. He picked up his second foul. Except for Dillingham coming in to play the last few seconds, Cal always sits a player when he gets his second foul in the first half.

That was a really good decision by Reed there.
That was really a dumb play called to put Tre Mitchell at the top knowing he’s not s threat to shoot. Then to give Mitchell the ball that high really just caused Reed to get doubled because they knew Tre was no threat to shoot a three. By the way, thst was the only shot that Sheppard missed and he had to shoot it down 3.

We are by far a superior team when Shep and Dillingham are out there and Wagner is on the bench. I know it's not gonna happen, but that's the way this team look like they could do real damage this year.

Wagner, Edwards and Reeves shot us out of this game. Burks went 0-2 and everyone else shot over 50%.

Sheppard made more than one mistake tonight and remained in the game. Let's be honest, he played a little scared and it hurt. But he also did some "Sheppard things" too that were just heady plays. Once he completely believes what we all see - namely that he can play CBB with anybody - those hesitations and second guessing himself will disappear. He's going to be a really good one. But I'm going to try to fair about it when he makes freshman mistakes too - because it would be impossible for him not to.

If he stays even 2-3 years he will go down as one of the best to ever put on the blue and white.

Too early to say for me. But darn if he doesn't sure look the part. 2-3 years of Sheppard at the PG spot makes me more hopeful than I've been in a long time, and much more hopeful than a "No.#1" ranked recruiting class.
